Good diner food, good prices. The wait for a table is too long, and poorly organized. The wait staff makes mistakes, and adds to the wait time. I went here frequently when it opened, but stopped going when I was served on filthy cutlery and given a straw that had been stepped on on the floor.
Came with relatives on their recommendation on a Saturday afternoon around 1:00 pm. We didn’t wait to be seated at all, as the restaurant was fairly empty but it took nearly 20 minutes for someone to come take our order, and then nearly an hour after that to get our food. The food wasn’t bad, standard diner fare really, but you’d think it’d take less than an hour’s wait for the cook to put some meat on some bread and put it on a plate!Apparently my aunt and uncle come here all the time for breakfast so maybe they’re a little quicker in the morning than at lunchtime, but I wasn’t impressed.Next time they suggest this place, I’m going to say no thanks. I could drive to Burlington and have lunch at a decent restaurant and then come back to Dundas in the time it took to eat here.
Went here for breakfast with my daughter. It was Saturday morning and it was packed. There were 4 group ahead of us and we had to wait 20 mins to get a table. A lot of the people there knew the hostess and waitresses which is a great sign.Atmosphere- The place is a simple family style place with a combination of tables and booths (some 2 seater booths available. Nothing fancy with kitchen at the center.Food- My Greek omelette was full of feta cheese. It was excellent. The fried potato were seasoned nicely but a little soft for me. I like them with more of a crispness to them. This was served with baked beans which I thought was an odd addition. I think something lighter like sliced tomatoes or a few pieces of fruit would work better. My daughter had 2 sides- french toast – really tasty bread but it is a shame they do not serve real maple syrup. The fruit bowl was not the fruit cocktail variety but it was fresh cubes of melon, honeydew, grapes and pineapple. Very nice.Service- The waitress was very friendly. She had our drinks quickly . We asked for and received promptly large glasses of water with lemon (without asking for lemons – ( I love that) I did ask for jam for my toast and she forgot to bring it until the end of the meal. It was so thing that could easily be missed especially since it was so busy. She noticed at the end and apologized for forgetting but I would not hold that against her.Impression- My daughter has taken a liking to try breakfast places which have not been my routine . However, I think she will ask to go back.
This place is great. I am always greeted by the owners and their family, it’s always such a welcoming environment. I would recommend the chicken souvlaki on a pita, it’s pretty big and a tad hard to eat but it tastes amazing. Nice amount of garlic and lots of chicken; I find that it’s a good idea to opt for home fries over any other side. They have rosemary or something in there sometimes. I like them better than Russell Williams (restaurant in Burlington) and that’s saying a lot.
Just had breakfast at West End Diner, the food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Busy, not a long wait, server and the owner was so friendly. This place definitely worth your money and food, way better that Cora, Sunset Grill and Eggs & I.
Pretty Good. Got a surprising amount of food for the price, more than enough to fill anyone up. Food quality was good, although not amazing, it was good for the price. Food came fast and they were around to tend to us frequently with coffee and the like. Staff was relatively friendly although they seemed a little rushed even though it wasn’t that busy. I think they could do with a little extra staff.
