Just Low to Mediocre. Just came back from Aw Shucks. really not that great. Although the my husband said the oysters were good the rest of our meal was not very good. The Lobster fettuccini was bla and the penne chicken was gross, The goat cheese on top came like whipped like globs of whipping crea and as I ate the meal I kept hearing a crunching like glass throughout the sauce.I only ate1/3 of the meal I decided to order the chocolate Lava cake which was recommended and it was ho hum.This place is really only worth going for the bar and band and maybe nachos. I rate it 2 star **
This place has the potential to be a good venue. Excellent location great building with plenty of washrooms and a rooftop patio. But there are too many negatives to list. They will hold a line to make it look busy even if it is not. You can expect to stand in the lineup for over an hour. Rude servers, obnoxious bouncers. The clientele consists of an overwhelming number of men, normally terrible ratios. Lots of 19-35 year olds. Lousy layout with the bar pushed up against the side wall making it hard to get a drink. Attitude lineups and potential for fights are what can be expected from this place. Stay away. They won’t be getting my money again.
Rooftop patio is nice but due to zoning laws, it’s all plastic cups and beer cans outdoors. Haven’t tried the food. Lots of senior citizens dancing when I was there on a Friday night.
HORRIBLE!. Food was mediocre, girl behind the bar was nasty, rude and just plain miserable. Aesthetically, its pleasing, but other than that, it was a waste of money.
I had the pulled pork a few weeks ago and it was awful. My gf had an awful pasta as well. The liquor menu is pitiful and the staff has no liquor knowledge at all. Only positive thing I can say is that our server had a great attitude and was always smiling. Management was the total opposite and told me that my food wasn’t overcooked when it was. They need to train their staff better because the servers seemed to have good spirits just no knowledge.
Worst Dining Experience Ever!. A group of 14 family and friends decided to try this restaurant for one of our birthdays after hearing that it’s previous location was very good. The only way to properly outline all of the horrible experiences I will have to list them in point form.1. When we were first seated the waitress asked us for drinks but at that time informed us that they did not have any menus for us to look at ..and when they did we would have to share.2. The drinks and menus took 20 minutes to arrive so we decided to order our appetizers and entrees together at the 30 minute mark.3. While waiting for our food…we had ordered 4 bottles of sparkling water for the table (no water was initially given to us)…so the waitress brings the 4 bottles but does not bring any glasses to drink from. After 10 minutes we needed to go to the service desk to ask for glasses.4. Our appetizers came at an hour and forty minutes from the time we sat down…they came staggered…my wife’s salad came after my carpaccio was finished and the waitress forgot 2 full orders of oysters.5. After 30 minutes, our entrees came…all items were room temperature and the 3 of us who had steaks…were well done when we had ordered them medium.Please note that we did not want to send this food back knowing we would have to wait well over an hour for replacements.6. We asked to speak to the manager just to let him know that this lack of service was unacceptable for any type of restaurant.7. He slowly walked over to our table and smugly listened to the details of our three and a half hour long experience. His only reply was that this was a soft launch of the new location…which is absurd since a soft launch is not a trial type of environment but should be a PR experience to showcase your restaurant. He did not even acknowledge that they were at fault…he just walked away.8. Even though we did not think of ordering coffee and desert…the waitress did not even offer!All memebers of our group were thoroughly disappointed and I’m sure you will find similar reviews on other review sites from them.I would not recomment this restaurant to anyone.
