2018/05/19We were in Aurora at dinner time, and decided to explore the new Locale. The restaurant was busy, and the dining room was already full, but we were able to get seats upstairs in the lounge.After we ordered out meal, they brought out a small jar with a few really long and skinny, crisp bread sticks. They were sprinkled with sea salt, and were relatively light. Interesting.We decided to start out our meal with the Crudo, under the Antipasti menu. Shaved carrots, cucumber, artichoke and more, with some cracked wheat seeds for texture, drizzled with a lemon vinaigrette, atop a foundation of creamy stracchino cheese. Pleasant start.SWMBO chose the Tagliatelle from the Pasta menu, with a veal ragu, mushrooms and parmigiano. Properly cooked noodles, tender and savoury ragu. She liked her choice.I went with the Funghi Pizza. A variety of mushrooms and cheeses on a medium thickness crust. Tasted very good.Service wasn’t the fastest, but we weren’t in a hurry. Not the least expensive meal, but we had a good time.
Same feelings as King City location, Locale is everything you want in a restaurant. This location is quite the opposite in design and ambience but still has the same great buzz, food and service. No live music announced as of yet but hoping they follow thru with that.
