Listen up! This used to be my go to place for Fish and Chips when we first moved in to the area 20 years ago. Then suddenly, the owner retired and sold the business to an Oriental couple. These two instantly went from fresh cut fries to frozen fries. Needless to say, we stopped going. Today we happened to be in the same plaza for sushi and we noticed that Stanley’s had a sign advertising FRESH CUT FRIES. After stuffing our faces at the sushi place next door (if I feel up to I will review that one too) we dropped in for fresh cut fries. The story as we were able to put together is that the couple who bought the place could not make it succeed (I wonder why) so they sold it to this new gentleman 7 years ago. He could not believe that his place at one point sold frozen fries. This new owner has his head screwed on right and the fries were as amazing as I remember. So, if you are in Aurora, check out this place for the best fish and chips around.

My family always comes here to eat, the service is excellent, and everyone is extremely friendly. i came here based on recommendation and do not regret it at all. the halibut is delicious, and cheap too! the homemade burgers were soooo good. absolutely AMAZING! i’ve tried all the fish and chips places in aurora, and this was hands-down the best!!!
Well; one screw up I get it. Two it can happen but three times? Enough is enough. I don’t usually write bad reviews. Mostly good ones. When a customer clearly states what they want and repeats it to you and makes you repeat it back and you screw it up still? Come on already. Plus it was very mediocre. My burger was near not cooked, the bun was soaked and my poutine was a sloppy mess. And who eats just a piece of fish? Ordered 2 with fries got one peiece of fish only. Fml. Never again. Too many other fish and chip places in this town. The only thing keep you alive are the high school kids. Don’t bother eating here.
