We had been going to this restaurant for quite a while and really liked the food.a group of 6 were in on Thursday, March 26th 2015 and had a nice evening until the bills came. BUYER BEWARE! their menus state one price and your bill will be at least 51 cents higher per item. They make no effort to identify this at all. In fact when we questioned it, the gentleman that identified himself as Tim, was rude and insulting and not at all apologetic. told us that he would go bankrupt if he didn’t raise his prices. And after all, we can afford it! WHAT??? well he got even ruder and he told us to sue him and gave us his business card. How insulting! There are now at least 6 people along with most of their friends that WILL NEVER set foot in this restaurant again. Someone should fine him under the Competition Bureau Act, Section 74.05. First offence up to $750,000!!!
Too Sweet. Went there for lunch – service was fast, restaurant clean, food was hot, but overly sweet. Hot and sour soup was bland and other than a few slices of onion, was just oily broth. Spring rolls doughy, not crispy, filling bland, no discernable taste or texture. Green chicken curry OK, but surprisingly sweet, little curry taste. Lots of cubes of tofu, little chicken and few vegetables. Jasmine tea was good. I realize this was just the lunch special but I didn’t particularly like anything I tasted – I won’t be back.
Still like the curry dishes the best. Tried new this time, wonton soup was very good. Chicken pad Thai sauce was too sweet for us. Also had the usual roti canai and Singapore noodles.08 Nov, 2013The roti canai is our favorite dish. The vegetable cold roll is also good. This time we tried the chilli chicken chow mein. The sauce it was satayed in was sweeter than we prefer. The curry dishes are our favorite at Thai villa.25 May, 2013From the outside I thought it was a fast food place but we were pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed the roti canai and Singapore rice vermicelli. We also tried the black pepper beef and Thai basil chicken.
Some things on the menu are delicious and some are okay. The curry appetizer with roti and a choice between chicken or beef- is an AMAZING dish. Big portions and crunchy delicious roti to dip it in. Under 8 dollars and it is very filling. Other things like the red Malaysian curry I was not to fond of. It was just too sweet. The place is beautiful and the service is very friendly.
