First time ordering from Asia Wok and it will be the last time. I was told 1 hour for delivery. I called after 1 1/2 hours to be told the order was just on its way. Almost 2 hours for delivery and the food was ok.
Usually we are very pleased with Asia Wok’s food but have to say not very happy this time around. When we placed the order over the phone they stated it would take about 25 min. to pickup which is fine. Ended up going there to do the pickup and ended up waiting another 35 min. to get the order. I wasn’t the only one waiting, others were there for 45 min. and they also placed their orders over the phone. Got back with my order and was missing the sauce for the eggrolls. While waiting on the order we (at least 4 of us waiting) asked if they could just add in another eggroll for the bad service and they just totally ignored us as if we didn’t even say anything to them!!! Not impressed this time around I’m afraid – will have to search out another Chinese place – so many to choose from in Orleans!!
I have never had a bad experience at Asia Wok. The staff is very friendly, it’s always busy. That’s because the food is good. Best General Tao I’ve had in a long time . Best open and egg rolls 1 combination plate will feed two people give it 5 stars.
Not great. Just ordered from Asia Wok. Tried the crispy beef as it was recommended, however, you couldn’t even tell it was beef as it was way over cooked. It was all batter and almost burnt. Seasoning was o.k. The almond guy ding was very bland, no seasoning at all. Open end egg rolls were good but the closed end ones seemed like the meat was under cooked. Will not go back.
Egg rolls tasted like they were refried from they day before!. Egg rolls here are normally good but tasted like we got day old refried ones. disappointed they would treat customers this way.
Poor service. New Year’s Eve, I understand that it’s busy. I placed my order at 4:23 in the afternoon (that is the time written on my receipt), and was told my order would be delivered in about an hour, maybe a little more. The order arrived at my house at 7:10 pm, more than 2.5 hours after my order was placed! Absolutley unacceptable, even given the circumstances. I also tried calling at least a dozen times to find out the status of my order, and every time, the line was busy or they didn’t pick up the phone (even when I let it ring for more than 2 minutes, one time). This is no way to make a good first impression. I was on my way out of the house to pick up my order from another restaurant as this order arrived. After making a phone call to his boss, the delivery man let me have the food for half price. I’ll let you know how the food was…
Best in the city. Absolute best Chinese food I’ve found in Ontario in general. Coming from Manitoba where we have many authentic places it was hard to find something in Ottawa with that authentic taste. I had almost given up when I found Asia Wok. I am truly impressed with the food taste and quality. 5 stars!
