Food was okay, prefer Host India portions were very small. Service was good but I was shocked when I got the bill and was overcharged on 3 out of 5 items. Chicken Buryani was listed for $13.99 on the menu was charged $16. Rice was listed as $2.50 was charged $3. Naan was listed as $2.50 got charged $6 for two. It’s an insignificant amount but the principle is annoying. Either they’re trying to rip customers off or need to update their menu!
Stopped in for dinner on Saturday night; spur of the moment. Pleasant surroundings with subtle background Indian music. Ordered the Bahji Onion appetizer; perfectly cooked and piping hot. I had the traditional beef curry; boss had the butter chicken. We split rice and nan. Portions were perfect; we felt sated, but not stuffed or miserable. Chicken was sweet with the occasional hint of heat. Curry was marvelous, meat fork tender and delicious. Price for 2 with tip less than $50.00; no alcohol on this night. We will definitely be back.
On the fence…. Went there for dinner recently. The samosas had a freezer burn taste and they don’t offer chaat!! (Green chutney). The korma was good but the curry beef was too well done and tough. IMO, I rather of spent $62 at another local indian restaurant.Nice atmosphere though.
Amazing food & friendly staff!. I bought a Groupon for Muskut and have to say it was a great choice! The food was absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend it!
Don’t order online or for delivery. We ordered online and for delivery and after 1.5 hours we phoned to followup as no food had arrived The online and delivery service is apparently done by a third party and it had not been picked up. We had paid for delivery and a tip in advance and did not get reimbursed other than a gift card. Not professional and will go elsewhere next time.
Mukut in Orleans. First, delicious! Second, why did I wait so long to go? Nice quiet little location in Orleans, friendly courteous service and some of the yummiest Indian food I’ve had! Do your self a favour and check out this little gem in Orleans. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We had the Maharaja dinner and it was fantastic!
1 star out of 5. We decided…. 1 star out of 5.We decided to give this place a chance even though the first four times we went there, it was closed when it was supposed to be open. The Beef Vindaloo was tough and you could taste the tomato paste separate from the rest of the dish (a good sign that the dish was thrown together at the last minute). The peas in the Muttar Paneer were clearly frozen peas added towards the end, just before serving. The Saag Aloo Bhaji was tasteless. The Naan was good. We won’t be back.
