The kafta sandwich was really good! The smell of it alone was a tease the entire drive to where I ate it. The failure was the fatoush salad. The romaine was bitter, there was one piece of cucumber and one piece of tomato. Super friendly service, nice people. Crappy salad.
My favorite shawarma place in Orleans, if not all of Ottawa. Prices are fair and similar to the rest. Food is always good, hot and fresh..they’re constantly bringing out fresh veggies. I’ve been at least 10 times, been to other places around Orleans that don’t compare. Bigger gent who works there I assume is the owner is incredibly friendly and social. The rest of the staff are very polite and happy as well.
The service was incredibly friendly. Portions are a little small for the price. However, the food did taste great! The food was nice and hot and the chicken was juicy. I will be going back
Great food, excellent customer service, clean place!. Me and my co workers go there often after work and this place is always great. The customer service is excellent, always with a smile. The place is always clean, especially the washroom. The owner there is very friendly and a funny guy. I will always go back there!
Worst Shawarma Ever. This was the worst shawarma I have ever eaten. The wrap was cold and I found a pit while biting into it. They barely put anything into it and it was not properly wrapped, so it fell apart. The potatoes were under-cooked, they still had crunch in them. The garlic sauce was like eating plain mayonnaise.To top off the experience, the service was horrible, and I had to wait while two other individuals were served ahead of me, even though I had been first in line and my sandwich was ready behind the counter prior to them even putting in their order. The servers were not eager to help and the girl disappeared to the back while my sandwich sat behind the counter for five minutes, while it went cold.
A taste of the Levant. My family and I lived in the Middle East for four years, where we ate shawarmas weekly. Upon our return 8 years ago, we desperately sought out a suitable replacement. After trying half a dozen places in Orleans we voted with our feet and have been regular customers of Shawarma Chef ever since. Particularly like the textures of the hummus and tabbouleh. Service is family-oriented, friendly and prompt. Would prefer a more ME decor to accentuate the experience, but that doesn’t detract from the culinary pleasures. Abu Philippe
Big Salad. Love the chicken salad. Nice variety of veggies with whole mint leaves. Plenty of golden fried pita chips and lovely shawarma chicken. Don’t forget the garlic. I could go without the attitude from the pretty boy behind the counter. Didn’t really appreciate the hot pepper refusal or the mixed sandwich denial, but the food keeps me coming back As long as it remains at this level of quality, I can tolerate Mr.big stuff
