LATE, COLD and NO FLAVOUR. We ordered takeout tonight from Fresh Pho U on Dunlop. It took over an HOUR AND A HALF to arrive. The food was cold and bland. NO FLAVOUR AT ALL!The portions were small and poor quality. The veggie Pad Thai had a total of 5 small vegetables in it, and the beef Pho soup had a tiny amount of beef and a small portion of broth that tasted more like water with a splash of fish sauce. The mango cold roll had no mango in it, and the dipping sauce was like sugar water. When I called to complain, the manager said I had to bring in the food to prove it was cold! When I explained that the reason I ordered take out was to avoid making a trip out, he said he wouldn’t do anything until I brought back the food. This was the first and last time I order from here! What a disaster! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!

Horrible customer service, messed up order. I’ve ordered from them several times now, through delivery. Normally it’d the proper order, however the delivery is slow, and the food arrives cold. The final straw for me was that instead of three soups, they sent a dessert, two hours after our order was placed. We called, to see if the mistake could be corrected, only to be told that it was our fault, and they would refuse to do anything, despite us having paid for the proper order. As a result, we and our house guest were forced to go elsewhere for dinner.

Tried this out when it first opened up. Not great, prices are way too expensive with small portions. Taste is not great either. As someone who has eaten pho for 10 years all over Toronto and the GTA, this place dhould be ashamed. Was hoping for this pho restaurant to actually be good but nope, fails just like the other pho restaurants in this city (except for Pho Mekong)

Fresh but not tasty. Went to Fresh pho u June 8th, 2014. Wasn’t the greatest service. Shrimp had blackened tails that were in the fresh rolls. When I asked why, she stated they come this way. Com pho Asia much better food and service. Just hoping i don’t get sick I through out the rest of the roll. Will not return here.

Great surprise, wonderful meal. Wandered downtown Barrie to find the new Thai restaurant. We were very pleased we found it. Had very tasty dinner. The service was very pleasant. We were not rushed. The restaurant was clean, tidy and welcoming. I look forward to returning, the next time I am in Barrie. Highly recommend it.

I came to this place Monday the 24th of March to try some take out just before school and enjoyed it as much as one can with take out. I decided to return on the 25th with my girlfriend for a date, we were greeted courteously and sat immediately. We ordered the mango salad and calamari as appetizers and spent a good long time perusing the many options (over 100 dishes!) a great selection varying from Vietnamese to Thai to Laotian dishes. Our appetizers were fresh and delicious and in large quantity. The mango was firm and tastey. We don’t care much for cilantro but that aside it was great. Our main courses were the mango fish which I added a side of coconut rice and my girlfriend had the rare steak pho. I don’t typically like fish but I decided to risk it and it was fabulous! Paired with the coconut rice it was well balanced sweet and savoury suffice to say. It was just as good on its own :). Caitlin’s broth was very well balanced, clear and not over powering. It also had a delicious and very slight/mild taste of ginger. Everything fused spectacularly. I also ordered the cold Vietnamese coffee, and boy oh boy! I’m not much of a coffee drinker but I would gladly go out of my way to come here for it again should I get a craving. Great portions, great environment, great taste, great service. I could be blowing all of this out my ass but you’ll just have to go see for yourself! Derrick

Just tried this place yesterday. Absolutely phenomenal! I had the spring rolls on vermicelli noodles, which was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and the service was great. The menu had a wide range of items. I definitely will be back!
