I’m confused with some the negative reviews. My husband and I had an amazing experience. We actually went for our anniversary. Our waitress was super friendly and we enjoyed every aspect of our food from the appetizer to dessert. Was hot and fresh, and absolutely delicious. I like that they have a unique menu with more interesting options than just plain and same. Will be back!
Went into Jack Astors last night with my GF and sat at the bar. Not only was the service terrible the bar staff was not friendly and the female bartenders were rude. We had to continually ask for drinks and when we did we got attitude like she had something more important to do like text her friends. We ordered steaks and they were both cooked wrong and they screwed up what we actually ordered. When my GF called the bartender over to show her the undercooked steak the BT proceeded to argue with her. Unreal. After dropping $120 I was more than displeased.
Food was okay. atmosphere Would have been alright if it weren’t for the fact i felt like i were in a sleazy night club. The music was too loud customers were too loud and very inappropriate the table next to us was a group of drunk men who were very loud and kept swearing while my 11 year old niece was with us. Staff should have asked these men to leave they were very clearly way too drunk. And they were not the only table that looked that way. To add further to it seeming like a sleazy night club all the servers were young women who wore too much make up and very tight slutty looking outfits. They wore too much perfume i don’t want to be able to smell cheap perfume lingering around our table 5 minutes after the server had already left the table. Our server kept forgetting about us and passing us over to other servers who didthe same thing. They made it seem as if we were wasting their time. While the female servers were very nice to the men in the restaurant they were completely different with my group possibly because we were a group of attractive young women who knows. Everytime our server came she would act preoccupied or bored with the whole situation giving us all an almost snarled look. She wouldn’t come check on our table and when she brought our food she plopped our food down on the table quite rudely and walked away we had to sort out who’s was who’s on our own. The food was good but the service was horrific we did not stay for desert and have never and will never go back…. That server got No tip!!
Service is always friendly. I love coming here. Once ordered takeout rather than sit-down, and unfortunately went home with the wrong order, manager was very apologetic and have me a 30$ gift certificate for another time plus my original order. Their vegetarian menu is quite good for a chain restaurant!
Great sports bar atmosphere.. We’ve been several times, and it has always been an excellent experience. Prices seem reasonable, the menu has a nice variety to it, and the service has been great. The kids keep themselves busy drawing on the table.
April 21st visit. Ate here for the first time on April 21st. Our server was Cody although any staff member passing by steps in to help out with clearing dishes and bringing food and beverages. Pleasant surprise in comparison to other establishments. Food was wonderful. We had Morocon vegetable soup, awesome, seafood pasta, chicken pad thai, and chicken blt poutine. All were great. We did however have to ask for a glass of water 3 times before it was finally brought and a cup of coffee twice but the waiter apologized sincerely for these errors. Great staff overall on this occasion. We were travelling from Sudbury and on our way home. My son called to say he received a call from Jack Astors indicating a cell phone had been left behind. My son quickly called my daughters cell phone just as we were about to enter to 400 North to Sudbury. Thanks Jacks for the fast action ensuring my husband retrieved his company cell phone back.
