Hit or Miss. Basic pub grub. Food is okay – no problem eating it more than once. Service is either good or terrible. On good days, the servers are friendly and attentive – always keeping an eye on your glass and making sure you’re enjoying your meal. On bad days – you almost feel like a jerk just for coming in (expect the cold shoulder if you’re not a regular.) Basically, if you’re in need of a quick beer and a snack – this will do.
Terrible food but Worse Service. This place is garbage, been there a couple times sadly, gave it a few shots but it was terrible each time. The owner was rude to us and our server, it was not that busy but felt we took too long sitting at our table after we were finished eating. We still had full beers, he was looking at our table making us uncomfortable. Then we asked if there was an issue and he said yeah we had been there too long and he was trying to run a business. We ate a full lunch, and had a pint in an hour and 10 minutes. Anyways, the food was garbage. We said we wouldnt be back and he said oh well there’s many other people in Barrie.
Great Pub. McReilly’s is a great place to grab some pints or a bite to eat. The staff are friendly and it has true community pub atmosphere like the pubs of Britton. Thursday nights are open mic night and the music is always very good.
Food is nothing special. Good hangout spot for drinks.
