Save your money.. Look, Barrie hasn’t had a good Tex Mex style food place since La Galeria on Collier closed, and it’s rather unfortunate but Mucho Burrito used to suffice to get a quick fix. Today, at the Bayfield location, service was incredibly poor. I was given old, dried out, burnt vegetables from the bottom of the container, only to have them immediately replace that with a container full of freshly cooked juicy vegetables with no effort to mix those into our old decrepit veg mix, which by the way did not taste good and impacted the taste of the entire burrito. Furthermore the staff proceeded to be incredibly skimpy with the rest of the toppings, litterally putting in half spoonfuls into each burrito (one of the being a mucho). I did ask for more of each and was only given a tiny additional amount. The burritos were flavourless and tasted primarily like tortilla due to their lack of toppings. I have been a frequent customer of Mucho Burrito for years, but after steadily getting worse, this will be my last time. I recommend you don’t waste your time and money here – you will end up feeling ripped off! I hear Alliston has a great new Mexican place – perhaps you should check that out instead!
Love the food and the staff!. My brothers, girlfriend, and I eat at this Mucho location every time we go to Barrie (which is like, every two weeks.) The staff there are wonderful, and the food is always fresh and very tasty. I would eat here any time.
My boyfriend and I enjoy other Mucho Burrito locations, but the ones in Barrie are just awful. Specifically our last and final visit to Mucho Burrito on Bayfield Street. One of the owners were there – which is a rare occasion as they manage from home via surveillance cameras and numerous phone calls to under appreciated employees – and there was a young female – definitely a teenager – employee who was sitting in the dining room. She looked like she clearly had been crying, now sitting isolated in view of customers. We proceeded to order, usual burritos – chicken for myself and steak for the boyfriend. The consistency at this location is needless to say lacking, as some days it’s more veggies than rice and the meat is dry or not, proportions are just off. Anyway, we pay and sit to eat and we both smiled at the young girl. Got about 3/4 way through my burrito, when I bit down on something sharp. Immediately I spat out my mouthful, only to find a corner of a condiment package mixed in with my food. Of course the right thing to do is alert the person in charge, in this case being The Mrs., and once we explained the issue with zero attitude because humans are humans and error happens, just do the minimum to keep your customer happy (we were fairly regular), she turned around and flipped out on the young lady calling her all sorts of names waving her arms and all sorts of colours exuding from her. Unbelievable.Upon the time of refund she insisted that I get another burrito rather than get my money back – I can’t eat two large burritos are you kidding? – she gave us a difficult time getting nearly $10 back, which realistically is peanuts for a Mucho. My boyfriend and I spoke up to her and mentioned she shouldn’t treat her employees like that, especially in front if customers as its humiliating to every party involved. She then immediately snapped back at us, reassuring us it wasn’t our business and that the young lady had a corporate complaint. We mentioned how we knew someone who worked for them in their south end location and how he would talk about how horrible they would treat their employees. She then rolled her eyes, forcefully handed our money back. We told her that we will not be visiting either of her locations, thanked her for the refund and went on our way. These two locations have a very high turnover and it is very apparent why.If you like their food, great! It is tasty! If you want to contribute to terrible management, awful service (not from the burrito artists, they were always pleasant) and low-class micromanaging whilst treating humans as disposable objects, this is the place.
Not authentic. Too much ri…. Not authentic. Too much rice and the rice lacks any kind of flavour.I had expected there to be handmaid tortias but there wasn’t. Meats were dry and lacked any spice or flavour (probably comes from a bag)Salsa was too watery and overall everything needed a big flavour boost. Staff must also learn to be more patient if their are only two customers you are serving and no one in line than you don’t need to rush!
Brutal service … Rushing you through the whole time confusing the orders… Very cheap regarding the toppings . They barley put anything on the buritos. And when you ask is 1.00 extra and they give you a death stare… Go else where very bad service here !!
Had the medio sized burrito, with guac (extra $1) and cinnamon roll (more like a tiny tortilla with sugar and cinnamon – the size of a sprin roll) and lime Jarritos (it’s a carbonated soda from Mexico). Great, flavourful (the medium spice is notthat spicy, if you like spice, but hot would’ve been too much – they have little sauce bottles by the napkin dispenser, don’t miss those!). $2.50 for the drink was high, but worth it for the experience. Wouldn’t get the cinnamon roll again – probably cookies for the combo for me. You can also get ctortilla chips n salsa. Would love to go back
Love this place! Great food plenty of it good value
