Very good and cheap restaurant. I was suprise for the quality of the food at a cheap price, very tasty food and good services
I have been living in Barrie for my whole life and royal thai has been in Barrie for a long time but I just didn’t have the chance to try it yet. Many if my friends said that they have an amazing variety of Thai food. I tried their food for the first time yesterday and I was very happy. The food was fresh and amazing. The service was also amazing. I will definitely come back again. Everyone should try this place out.
Not my favourite Thai place in Barrie. Food was average – not great flavours or presentation. My *least* favourite crispy spring rolls I’ve had from just about anywherfaxThe service however was very good; fast & efficient.
They have the best chicken padthai in barrie.
Great place, not 100% consistent – where is?. I love Thai cuisine and have been eating it for 2 decades; all over the world, and yes, in Thailand too. Barrie is not a good town for food – very disappointing to say that politely. This place is way above the Barrie average.Lee (owner) got fudged when the Wellington Hotel was destroyed and his in-house restaurant went up in flames. This is NOT the best Thai food I have ever had, close, but it is definitely good. Nakura Island off the east coast of Southern Thailand was the best – better than the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok and the street food anywhere in northern or southern Thailand. Usually only angry people write reviews – this is not that – far from that.Royal Thai is a solid place that deserves props. I have been there at least 20 times in the 4 years that I have lived in Barrie. Enjoy.Barry
Finally. Been in barrie for a few years now and have been trying various places for a decent thai dish – I almost gave up, glad I didn’t now I don’t have to move back to the city.
My vegetarian pad thai was bland, other than the taste of the styrofoam container it was delivered in; it was overly greasy and stale. Neither of my friends were impressed with their curries. The tiny spring rolls were similar to the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store. No effort was made to correct the problem when we called to tell Royal Thai that our meal was far from satisfactory.
