Went to Swiss Chalet the other night with my boyfriend for dinner and I think the only good thing about it was the waitress who was very friendly. I should have known better and not selected Swiss chalet as out dinner choice. First of all , as soon as you walk through the door of any Swiss chalet you feel like you’re being transported back to the 80’s. Dirty, old, and just plain ugly. Do these franchises not qualify for upgrades or something? The menu is pretty limited unless you’re looking for rotisserie chicken; I chose a pesto chicken pasta which ended up tasting like a reheated Michelina’s lunch. Ick… My boyfriend’s meal was the same. I don’t understand how restaurants like Milestones and Montana’s are owned by the same company. I know it’s a different price range, different specialty, different target market and different look but I don’t think Swiss chalet should be left in the dark. The menu needs some serious uplifting, so does the decor (including the old school uniform the staff wears). And the special sauce tastes like soap! Swiss chalet is an epic failure compared to all the rotisserie chains successfully running in the province of Quebec (st-Hubert, Scores, Benny’s, Coq Rapide,etc.

Great restaurant ! Been going here for over 15 years and even worked there in highschool for 3 years.. Food is always fresh and servers have been there for years! Great food for a great price.
They were great with our kids. Crayons, high chair, water in special cups. The food: it’s Swiss Chalet! Long live the BBQ chicken with the special sauce!

I thought it was not very good value. The chicken sauce is awful. I thought it was gravy but it is something I have never had before. Overall I thought $15 should have bought me a better meal.
