Terrible, Terrible. Ordered 1 Onion Bhaji but waiter brought 6, more than 1 person can eat, ordered 2 Papadums, waiter brought 1. after telling him I ordered 2 he brought 3 more.Ordered Chicken Bhoona and Chicken Tika Masala, food was very Bland, not spiced with no flavour at all.Service was terrible, food was terrible and Bill was terrible, $75.00+tip.Would not recommend it!!!!
Great meal. We have visited twice since moving to Barrie from Toronto. Lovely meal, attentive staff – one of our favourite places and every bit as good as cuisine of India or Bombay Bhel in TO.!
I’ve have been to this place to eat at least 50 times. The best food and service always. Hands down the best butter chicken! A little pricey but very worth it. Highly reccomend to try
All sauce. I remember back in the day many years ago when Tara was good. But that’s no longer the case. Their dishes are bland and lacking in protein — I ordered butter chicken, chicken korma, and a vindaloo of some type, and got literally a handful of meat between the three of them. How disappointing! Definitely not worth the money.
Tasty. The clear sky, the long walk along the shore of Kempenfelt Bay, the company and the flavours in the dishes – they all came together. Dinner D was a good combination of dishes. Everything was mild for the benefit of my dinner partner (she’s not into spicy). Hot sauce was provided on the side for me, but I started each dish mild. The blend of flavours was lovely. Portions were just about right to a bit large for two tall people who were pretty hungry at the time. Service was friendly, timely and attentive, although it was rather quiet when we arrived, tables nearly all full by the time we left. It’s not Brampton or Gerrard St. E. in Toronto, but Tara doesn’t need excuses about the food, Barrie or not.
Rude staff ruins the experience.. The food is good, but not exceptional in my experience. It didn’t seem overpriced to me. What killed my experience was the wait staff.I have never experienced such lazy, rude, and unprofessional wait staff anywhere else. We were ignored for an hour (yes, literally an hour!) while the staff stood in the door to the kitchen and chatted with each other while ignoring all of the patrons. One waiter answered a personal call on his cell while he was supposed to be taking orders. It was ridiculous, and I will never go back. My wife went back once and said that it was just as bad the second time.
