Great taste and great value!. This place is awsome! i keep coming back for brisket sandwich and pulled chicken… the brisket was a mess to eat and was kinda bland looking but the flavor was all there … the meat is really good quality, real juicy and tender, you walk in with 10 bucks and come out stuffed (and with some change)… staff is always fast and friendly… try the big tex bowl as well, really hits the spot after a night of hard partying…

Kids Choice. Driving home my daughter and I were deciding what to have for supper and decided to stop at Big Tex’s where she goes for lunch ($3.99 burger with a drink purchase) while working in Waterloo. We ordered a Canadian combo with onion rings, drink and a burger with cheese for about $16 didn’t want to over order when I realized it was a half pound burger. The staff was friendly and explained the different burger choices and that they grind their own meat and prepare almost everything in house. The burger was excellent it was topped with a garlic mayo which complimented the juicy burger. Sometimes we just got to listen to our kids.

Having family in Texas and spending a lot of time there I am usually a little harder on any Canadian restaurant who tries to capitalize on southern food. This place was easy. The burgers look like a rip off of Whimpy’s (and Whimpy’s are not that great IMO) the sweet fries were not very crispy and the brisket was oven done with no trace of smoke rings or flavour. Texas BBQ is done mainly with dry rubs and not much sauce. This place oven cooks the food and puts what appears to be Bullseye sauce on things to give it a smokey sweet flavour. The bun was nice and fresh and the garlic mayo or spicy mayo was a nice touch to the general condiments list. I won’t be attending any time again soon. For a good burger head to Frat Burger, shmuck truck or Manitou Takeout.

Great RIBS. Stopped in with my wife for a couple of pulled pork sandwiches. Sandwiches were tasty and messy, just the way it should be. We also orders a half rack of ribs to go with mashed potatoes. Ribs were fall off the bone and extremely flavourful. We strongly recommend this place.

WOW !!!! So good. I happened to be walking by to got o smokes but saw this place had just opened up. So glad that we stopped. We were told that they make everything in house and even grind the beef fresh for the burgers. I ordered a Canadian Burger ( it was on special with a pop for $8). Half pound burger with double smoked bacon and Cheddar cheese. The burger was AMAZING. Very impressive. Having been in the industry before I appreciate a local bakery style bun and this was defiantly that. Probably the best burger I have ever had. My friend ordered a Bucking Bronco, This was a half pound burger smothered in BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, deep fried jalapeos and then topped with fresh made Beef Brisket. It was massive!!! Very messy, we were in suits but so worth it.
