Horrible service from one of the female cashiers
Had some expectations for this place but I was disappointed. Went in for their lunch deal and wanted to get two meat lasagnas (we went in after it was opened for about 10 mins) and they didn’t have any lasagna ready! We waited but I had to settle for a vegetable lasagna and it was just okay. Service was terrible.. The man there was really rude. I would much rather go to Quick Sandwiches next door
Pretty Good… will go back. We enjoyed our sandwiches from Eataliano. One person order the Chicken Sandwich (originally wanted the steak and onion but they had run out of steak unfortunately) and the other the Vegetable Sandwich. Both were very large portions but I agree that perhaps the price of both should be lower by maybe a dollar. The buns were soft but held their shapes (even with the sauce, which was quite yummy). The chicken came with two large pieces (they were slightly overdone but still quite good) and the Vegetable Sandwich came loaded with mushrooms, onions, red peppers, zucchini and breaded eggplant. My only complaint was the way the eggplant was cooked. I am a vegetarian and it was cooked in the pan right after the chicken, no thank you. The food is cooked right in front of you which was fine as it was not busy but I could see being an issue if there were a number of patrons at once. Overall, good quality food/ restaurant quality and will return.
Very Disappointed!!. I recently moved to Waterloo from the York Region Area which has plenty of authentic Italian sandwich shops… which is what I was hoping Eataliano would be. Unfortunately that was not the case! I ordered the Breaded Chicken (my fav) with cheese, roasted red pepper, onions and hot peppers. The bun was stale, the sauce was nothing special, the roasted peppers and hot peppers tasted jarred and the Chicken itself was okay. The worst part was it was slightly more expensive then any other place I’ve been! Usually these sandwiches cost 7.95 (includes two toppings) plus cheese. I think it has potential seeing has its menu items are the same as a million other places that make amazing food. I definitely won’t be returning! Will have to stick to making it at home, or waiting until I’m back in York Region
Delicious lunch. I finally had lunch today at Eataliano after waiting anxiously for it to open. It did not disappoint! I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and the Australian drink called Mash (which is like a carbonated water/juice drink). My meal came to about $12, and they currently have some specials on for sandwiches. The meatballs were amazing, very moist and good-sized. The pasta sauce was a bit spicy but that’s probably just me. The serving size was very generous and I couldn’t finish it so I have dinner for tonight also. I would definitely recommend Eataliano and I will surely be returning.
Nice Little Place!. I was driving by this place and decided to stop in. The place itself is nicely put together! It is a very casual but inviting restaurant. It is more of a fast-food place with a classy feel to it. I went in and was greeted by the servers behind the counter. They were all very nice and inviting. I settled on the veal sandwich with provolone cheese, a caesar salad, and a drink from Australia called ‘Mash’. The items came out rather quickly, I was impressed! The sandwich was large, with an excellent piece of veal with marinara sauce. All of the items are made in house which definitely impressed me. The bun was fresh and soft. The caesar salad was massive! It was already mixed which I liked, and it had just the right amount of dressing, croutons, and bacon bits. The drink was actually really good! One of the servers mentioned how good it was so I had to try it. The food was really good and the service was excellent. The only thing I would suggest is possibly lowering the prices. The price for a veal sandwich with only marinara sauce was almost $8, and you had to pay extra for any toppings. I paid almost $18 for my meal, which I thought was a little high. This place can definitely do well, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
