This restaurant is not bad. Not the best Italian food that I have had, nor the best value, but we enjoyed eating here. The bread served was nothing to write home about, but the pesto that it came with was very nice.We had two pasta dishes, the arrabiata and the daily special (which had pesto, arugula, pine nuts, and some other vegetables). Both of them were good. The regular portion was very large (we took home about half of it) but the lunch-size portion was just the right size.

I’d say the food is about average. Got takeout the last time and they sent us home with large buns that were more like bricks, but the pasta is always decent. I was surprised they didn’t include any parmesan, but I had some in the fridge thankfully. I haven’t been impressed with the calamari and I wouldn’t recommend it.

1000x better than east sides but I don’t think that’s saying much. Went with a party of 5. Service was friendly and decent. First was some bread, which was served cold and hard, not particularly satisfying. I ordered the Rustico pasta, cooked al dente and served with a subtlely flavoured gorgonzola sauce. The chicken was over cooked and the chunks were too large. The food was decent but not the best pasta I’ve ever had. stephaniealau.com

Amazing!. The best place to eat in Waterloo! Amazing pasta, excellent menu variety, fresh flavour, and the best dinner bread you’ll ever have! My bridesmaids and I ate there the day before my wedding and everybody loved it. My husband I made sure to eat there again the day AFTER the wedding! We’re definitely repeat customers now!

Abhorrent. Expensive, expected quality for an anniversary date. First we were sat by the kitchen. The place was dark. Good food right until I got a piece of ceramic plate in it. Told the waitress and was given a rude remark. 0 tip. Would never suggest it.

Awesome place. One of the best Italian restaurants I have been. I have been here with my out of country parents and with my husband in several occasions. Every time we go we try different dishes and we have loved every single one of them. Rosa is always our server (she is the owner) and she’s the sweetest person, she really takes care of us. The service is not fast, but it’s exactly what I’m looking for when I go there. Sit and enjoy the Italian music and the pictures, savour the dishes and make conversation. Everything is a delight there and we go every time we can.

Meh. I should’ve known better than to eat Italian food outside of my home. No better than East Side Mario’s.
