Mum and I used to go here under old ownership and the service is far friendlier and the two piece haddock and chips for $9.99 were done to perfection. I dont know what the other peoples complaints are about we had a great meal and fast friendly service for the price!!! We will definitely be back again and again!!!
In KW on business stoped at Granny Bonns Fish & Chips. Not the worst fish & chips Ive had , but close. First off the service was fast. Less than 5 minute wait on my food from order till it was sat on the table in front of me. The chips I liked a lot. The grease is obviously old and the taste carries over into the fries. Its a throw back to the old chip trucks of my youth. The 2 pieces of haddock were both a decent size. Now the batter was way to thick and the oil soaked into it. When I lifted it out of the basket the oil was pooled in the basket. Too greasy for me. Price was great. Special was 2 pcs haddock and chips for $9.99. Not bad for a quick lunch. Dont think I will be back.

it was very greasy and all batter will not go there again and expensive for whatwe gotI use to go there when my children were young what happened it was absolutely terrible greasy and all batter old oil
AMAZING!! My husband and I…. AMAZING!! My husband and I love fish and chips but had recently moved to waterloo and were getting it from Bakers Cove until the closed recently…..and we’re so glad we found Granny Bonns!!!! The staff is super friendly and the fish is so delicious. The batter is seasoned so nicely you don’t need tarter and the chips are hand cut perfection! We highly recommend this restaurant!
Used to be good.. This place used to be good with the original owners. The new owners are rude and terrible at cooking fish. I rate this a big fat zero.
First of all, the service there is friendlier and better than in most upper class restaurants, and the fish really is one of the best there. I paid 7 bucks for their special 2 pc haddock and chips.
