I’ve been here two times and both times it was a bad experience. The servers have no customer service skills. The server has such a bad attitude never came around unless we called her and made us feel so unwelcomed. Only paid attention to the bar cause maybe she thinks since we’re students we won’t tip?? Never will be coming back. The food is okay
Horrible. Not only was it Valentines Day but my Birthday as well, and 4 out of the 5 meals we ordered with friends were not eatable .The apps were burned, missing ingredients, the steaks were tough , they ran out of potatoes, except frenchfries, the rice was disgusting and the veggies were totally raw, just warmed up. The only thing that was at all good were the drinks we had. All in all our experience at Kelsey’s was terrible, wouldn’t go back there even after they gave us 40.00 in coupons. Oh yes and the service was way to slow. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. We had to wait 35 mins for our food and once it came the portions were half the size we expected for the price. On top of that my steak sandwich was soggy and falling apart, the steak was chewy and my salad had ROTTEN yes I said rotten lettuce in it, multiple pieces! My husbands quesadilla had cold cheese in it and barely any chicken and he also had rotten lettuce in his salad. Our order was almost $40 with our food and 2 pops which was insane especially considering the quality. The lady at the table beside us also had issues she sent her cold spinach dip back 3 times before they finally brought her back some warm dip! She spoke to the manager but unfortunately with the wait time for the food I did not have time to complain as we were almost late for the movie we were going to see. Will NEVER go back!!!
Sat at the bar as I was on business. Took over 30 minutes to get a salad, was served my drinks out of dirty glasses…twice. Staff was not helpful and preferred to chit chat with each other. Will not be coming here again
One of the best steak that I have ever tried! 28 days marinated!!
Good, but nothing special. Four of us went to Kelsey’s in Waterloo to celebrate a graduation this past week. This particular restaurant is very conveniently located near Conestoga Mall and the bus stops. We each had different meals, from pasta with creamy mushroom sauce to the fish and chips. While most bar-type restaurants offer fish and chips and burgers, Kelsey’s two-piece version of the fish and chips and the regular hamburger were plentiful and delicious. Service was attentive and considerate. It was obvious that servers were constantly running around and had little time for extra details, however. Desserts at $6.99 for such things as cake and pies were outrageously priced, and we all abstained. Earlier reports had it that this particular Kelsey’s was not as good as other retaurants in the chain. I didn’t get that impression. While Kelsey’s does not stand out among a myriad restaurants like this in Ontario, the fare was reasonably priced, consistent and good.
Horrible. My girlfriend and I received a gift card and decided to try this Kelsey’s for dinner prior to attending the cinema and were very disappointed with this restaurant.I have been to all of the Kelsey’s in this area and one thing shine through – they set low standards for food and service then fail to achieve them. This particular Kelsey’s, however, was a step below the others. Both of us agreeed that the waitress was one of the worst we had ever encountered – cold, distant, non-attentive and pushy. She practically threw the food and debit machine at us and bordered on being downright rude – she was clearing my plate before I was even finished. As for the food and drink, the spinach and cheese dip is still a winner but other than that, all of food was almost cold and was of sub-par quality, especially in the taste department. Further to this, my beer was barely chilled and served in a warm glass – so much for the frosted glasses that Kelsey’s used to be famous for back in the day.We will not dine here again and if we ever receive another Kelsey’s giftcard we will make a point of saving it so we may regift it to someone of whom we are not particularly fond.
