Just Average. I attended this restaurant with 5 other for a celebration dinner. Unfortunatley my meal arrived cold. ( as did most of the others)I was underwhelmed by the flavors. The server did not take the time check on us with regards to our food. If she had done so I would have given the restaurant an oportunity to rectify it.
Amazing food and service at this restaurant. We had the scallops and gnocchi as well as the ribeye. The scallops were cooked perfectly as was the ribeye, the portions were great and the food was obviously fresh. Our waitress was fantastic as was the other staff. We watched the manager run out into the snow storm to hail down a cab and get it to wait for a table of elderly folks. All in all one of the best dining experiences we have had. Would gladly go back anytime
Awesome Dinner – Can’t wait to go back!. I went for dinner with my girlfriend for a date night. We both had an amazing time, the service was excellent. We had the Pecan crusted Brie appetizer, it was wonderful. For the entrees… I had the pickerel, she had the steak…both dishes were a work of art and delicious. The beer selection at this restaurant is great, I am a huge fan of craft beers and I love to try new things so I found this to be a great plus (I hate when a restaurant only has the plain type beers, coors, bud etc.)They seem to have a great wine selection as well, although I am not much of a wine person. The atmosphere was very intimate and clean, we sat at the high-top table beside the open-concept kitchen. The executive chef seems to run a tight ship and dishes have to meet his expectations before they are cleared to be served (I realize this is probably the case in any restaurant with high standards but with this being open-concept it was confirmed).Would definitely go back.
Amazing atmosphere!. Steak was perfectly cooked! Will definitely return soon!!
AMAZING. We had fantastic service, great drinks and beyond delicious food. The bread with olive oil/ balsamic vinegar and olive tapenade was perfect and both our main meals and appetizer were amazing! We had the Calamari to start which was cooked perfectly not like rubber (like most places). I ordered the gnocchi with scallops and my boyfriend had the seafood risotto. The gnocchi was very rich with a brown butter sauce and it did get a bit mushy since I am a slow eater but it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The risotto was also super delish, the seafood was cooked perfectly! They made me a custom Martini which was also fantastic. Over all it is pricey but we used a 20$ coupon from adsave so it helped with it but it was very worth it! We plan on making this our place for special meals.
Beautiful Location, Great Food. Great location right in the heart of Uptown Waterloo, the decor is cool and it’s a good size, not too cavernous, but busy enough to make it feel like a good urban night out. We had the pickerel special (both of us, I know), and the fish was cooked perfectly.. good selection of craft beers by the bottle. At the upper end of our price range but worth it for sure, the combination of great atmosphere, location and reliably good food makes it a perfect date night, or spot to impress a client.
Amazing. Pickerel perfectly cooked. Great service. Fantastic bottle of oyster bay vino!
