Thought it was pretty damn tasty !!
I do not recommend this place. Sashimi isn’t fresh, the soup (hot and sour) is tastes somewhat burnt, maki rolls come out looking like someone threw them on the plate, and service is okay. I am not an avid vanilla lover, but the vanilla ice cream here is phenomenal! Too bad this isn’t an ice cream shop.Sushi 99 is not somewhere I’d recommend to anyone; sushi lover or not. Just no. Fish is not fresh, and the quality of the food gets worse and worse as the years go by. I personally love sushi pizza, and the pizza here… it made me sad how bad it was.. Overall, I’d rate this place 3/10. 2 for the service, and 1 for the vanilla ice cream. jaystummy.com
Poison. Almost everything on the menu had MSG in it including the miso soup which had MSG chicken stock. If you want to eat an excitotoxin in spades, this is the place to go. Book your dementia suite at the local hospital in a few years. I had 2 sips of the soup by mistake, and had to drink 2 glasses of water when I got home, due to the extremely salty food. The food is pre-packaged, full of chemicals. This is not an authentic Japanese restaurant. Stay away for you health.
I don’t know how anyone could like this. I guess it’s a convienent place to go to for AYCE, but there are definetly better places. I am extremely disappointed with their sushi especially, the fish is literally as thin as paper, and rice balls as big as bricks!! Their place has nice decor and comfortable to sit in and affordable.
Time to find a new sushi place. We have been coming here about every two months nice they opened. In the past year we have noticed a decline in both service and quality. Last night was the final straw. Half our order was forgotten, food was mediocre at best and the staff ignored us. That’s it, we are finding another sushi place. Good bye Sushi 99.
My must-monthly-visit-restaurant. It’s a sushi lover’s paradise :)I am a regular customer and this restaurant never fail me once. Even though sometimes what I ordered did not make it to my table (have to wait for 10-20 minutes to make sure it really is lost before I reorder again) or what I did not order ended up in my table (always send back, they can check). I guess overly dose sushi just make me a very happy person and these minor details are really nothing. I always make a reservation especially in weekend to avoid queue.Serving sizes especially for rolls are smaller than Ye’s which is better because it is the quality count. What I must eat in the restaurant are: tofu steak, spicy salmon sushi, spicy green dragon rolls and golden dragon rolls.
The service is better than ye’s. everyone is a friendlier. Food is great. I tried the deep fried ice cream at the end of my meal. It was better than the sex I had later that night. Which was still good but damn… That deep fried ice cream was amazing.
