Went there on the weekend and left because we didn’t even get our drinks after 20 minutes!! I don’t get it , restaurant was empty and about 20 people on the patio . Worst service ever
Hit and Miss depending on the day.. Symposium is a gamble. I’ve had great burgers there- and terrible burgers there- along with pretty much everything else I’ve tried.. I’m not sure if it depends on who is in the kitchen that day, but I’ve always found it to be either very good or incredibly mediocre. Atmosphere is nice and the display of cakes is impressive. However I find the food to be vastly overrated, especially for the price.
Ummm – can you serve me please??. Both times I’ve been here I’ve had to wait 10+ minutes to be served. Then an even longer wait to get a simple drink order. Remind me never to come here again.
Ummm…continued. Okay cake is $10. (Sysco/Flanagan’s)Why again am drinking from a plastic class?Hell at least they could have splurged on the fancy black straws?13 Mar, 2014Ummm…continued. Okay cake is $10. (Sysco/Flanagan’s)Why again am drinking from a plastic class?13 Mar, 2014Ummmm….. So paid $12.95 for a pesto chicken wrap, while drinking out of a plastic water glass? okay the ikea candles are nice.great staff, but honestly food from the freezer section of Sysco …for $13.00? …and the plastic water glass?I’m not sure what this place is trying to be–but its not working.
Great food and service, cakes seem over priced :s. They have a great selection of foods, drinks, and desserts. I find the cakes to be a bit pricey though ($10/slice).
No thank you!. Went to Symposium for dinner. A very friendly server showed us to a pretty outdoor patio. Although there were many empty tables, none had been cleaned. So we had to wait on the couches. Granted, it was busy, but the bussing of tables was noticeably lacking throughout the dinner service.Once seated, we were given the list of Thursday dinner specials…unfortunately, it was Friday :(Although the live music was good, it was so loud we had to ask to change tables in order to hear each other talk. The musician also had a really bad attitude and made several snarky remarks about no one paying attention to him.All 3 people in my party ordered the Vegetable Tomato soup, which was horrible. Extremely salty and acidic. Sent mine back and asked to try the Broccoli and Cheddar instead. Thankfully that one was ok.The Chicken Pesto Flatbread was mediocre. The Sesame Thai Chicken Wrap was actually pretty good. The only acceptable part of the meal! Even though we told the manager (we assume that was his title- he never introduced himself) that the Tomato soup was inedible, no changes were made to our bill. All three of us were asked to pay for our soup. Also, the washrooms were disgusting. Will not be returning to this restaurant!
Best Cafe Restaurant in K-W. The environment is beautiful, great for casual or formal dining. It’s comfortable, unique, and their menus are out of this world! It does take me a while to decide on what to order, from drinks to deserts, but the wide variety is what keeps me going back. I’ve yet to repeat a meal there! And the prices were a lot lower than I had expected, my first outing there. Overall, what an exceptional dining experience: good atmosphere, great food/beverage selection, reasonable prices, friendly/young servers, and the restaurant is more than suitable for any occasion, and any group of people, any time of the day! Four thumbs up for CoffeeBean!
