Great food, ambience and service. I’ve always had a great time here. The pad thai, steak with rice, and clear noodle dishes are really good. If you’d like your dish spiced differently, the server offers you a variety of sauces to add to your food. It’s a pretty nice place inside as well, perfect for an evening date night.

Good for lunch. I went when it first opened and wasn’t impressed and vowed to never return. But coworkers were going for lunch one day so I didn’t have a choice and dredded it.Was pleasantly surprised at the lunch menu and have been back several times for lunch now.

Mmmm…. I had the spring rolls to start, the salmon as a main and a Thai ice tea to drink. It was all fantastic and the waiter was very attentive. Everyone else with me also seemed to enjoy their meals. Would definitely go back!

Our favourite place to go for dinner or lunch. Ever since we moved back to Waterloo in 2007, Thai Sun has been our #1 favourite place to go for yummy, fresh, decently priced Thai food. We’ve been to a few others in the KW area, but no one beats Thai Sun for value and taste. The only time I was disappointed was when we discovered they didn’t have high chairs for our toddler.

Over priced, lackluster service, overall a bad experience. The total came to around 50 dollars after tax, and all we got was an order of spring rolls and 2 pad thai’sspring rolls were good, for 6.50 you get 2 rolls that could have came from a nearby grocery store and a sweet sauce that has chopped peanuts floating in it. the pad thais were slightly better, coming with dry chicken, and an extra large portion of bean sprouts. there was not enough noodles, and too much bean sprouts. the dishes were quite bland and just not enough of what you would expect for a dish that is around 15 dollars. service was quite friendly, our server eagerly awaited our response to our food multiple times before and after getting us the food. the chorus of ‘is it good?’ is a large part of the over priceness i guess…would not be going back again, especially since for the same price, you can get an excellent meal at Bauers kitchen down the road, and for half the price, you can get a more authentic thai/viet experience in kitchener at Pho Dau Bo.

Way overpriced! You’d be lucky if you get 4 shrimps in you shrimp pad thai for close to $20! There are at least 2 other Thai restaurants within walking distance! Don’t go here unless someone is paying for your meal!

The service is excellent. Nice atmosphere in an awesome location, with great large portions. Lots of fresh vegetables included, ask for the avocado spring rolls, they are delicious but not on the menu for some reason.
