Delicious, aromatic, and hearty food – The Savoury carries a wide variety of groceries and snacks imported from the UK, and the home cooked food is a tasty treat! I especially love the meat pies, there is even a vegetarian option! I definitely recommend stopping in for a quick lunch, or even just a curly wurly to go!
If you’re looking for a great home cooked meal… look no further!. I actually walked into The Savoury for the first time because I saw their chocolate selection through the window but as soon as I walked in I felt like I had taken a step back in time to my grandmother’s kitchen. I dare you to walk through the door and not try one of their amazing home cooked meat pies. They smell delicious, they look great and the taste is incredible! You will be hooked! If you happen to be around late at night on a Friday or Saturday their burgers are the best thing to have if you’ve had a little too much to drink (and you need a preemptive hangover cure) or if you’re sober as a judge and just need some great food.
DELICIOUS!. I have gone to the savoury twice now, once for lunch and once for late night food. Both experiences were great! The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly. The meat pies are homemade and amazing. I will definitely be going back to get some for takeout. I also picked up an oreo cadbury that was insanely better than the Canadian cadburys we have here. Overall a really great experience and delicious food! I will definitely be a repeat customer and will be stopping by before christmas to pick up some imported goods for family. YUM!
Get’em While They’re Hot!. The butter chicken meat pies are my personal favourite, they really hit the spot. The flaky pastry is to die for and the filling is spicy enough to give it some kick, but tame enough that the average person will enjoy it. It makes for a killer feed after a night of drinking or a great lunch when you’re in a hurry.
Love the buttery chicken meat pies and the late night poutines. The euro candy and soft drinks are another reason to stop in. Very friendly staff and always worth the quick stop in from Uptown Waterloo.
Best after bar food ever!. Went to the bar last night and was told to swing by The Savoury for late night chow; Holy COW!!! Best poutine ever! My buddy got perogies and a steak pie. I have no idea why this place isn’t more popular. We’ll be back and so we’ll our friends. P.S- super nice owners. Always ask how our night was and take the time to learn our names regardless how busy they are. I don’t write reviews often but this place deserves one.
I found this place very over priced. Samosas are $1.75 each and they don’t give reciepts when people pay cash, at least, I didn’t get one when I asked for one. The samosas were over powering and very small for the prices and they were not fried. When I posted this on facebook it was taken down! Over priced!!! I would never every pay $1.75 for ONE small unfried samosa! What a rip off!
