Service is all over the place here. Sometimes you’ll get a great server and the food is out in a flash, other times the server insists on not writing anything down and the food takes forever. When it gets to the table (if the orders are correct) its always fantastic. The portions are good, the handmade pasta is delicious, and its not overly pricey. The atmosphere of the place is also very comfortable and their wine selection is great 🙂
What a disappointment for Fathers Day.This was the second time in a row that I was let down.Poor service.Utterly poor.Having made a reservation for 5 pm for our table of four I had hoped to beat the rush and not have to worry about the crowds. It should have been a great meal.Instead we waited…and waited…and waited. We got our apps after about 40 minutes of bread bingeing. They were pretty good. The entrees came an hour and a half after we arrived and about 75 minutes after ordering…and getting a second round of bread. My wife’s chicken masala was a bony chicken leg.Rather dismal. They knocked it off the bill for obvious reasons. My seafood pasta (gluten free) was okay but a few notches down from my previous visits.People around us arrived, ate and left. What more can I say?For that kind of money I can do better.Underwhelming at its best.
Excellent service. Ingredients are fresh and not over saturated with salt. The plates are very balanced and the wine selection is wonderful. I personally had one of the best steaks I’ve ever had here and I hear the handmade pasta is excellent. A fairly expensive place but you really get your money’s worth. 10/10 for a date night.
Friendly service. Cosy little italian restaurant which serves homemade pasta. Daily special are always a good option. Love their Caesar salad. Good wine selection. Also have an enclosed patio for a nice summer night dinning experience.
Came here on a Groupon. @kintamanate & I both ordered their chicken parmigiana. I got it with their pesto fettuccine, and he tried their flying boar fettuccine with prosciutto and mushrooms. The chicken was underwhelming. It had no cheese on it, which was fairly disappointing. The pasta was decent enough, and it was definitely freshly made. The service was very slow, even just for drink refills. I probably wouldn’t go back, and I definitely wouldn’t go back without a Groupon.
What a wonderful meal we had.The place is small and cozy and perfect for an intimate dinner. The seafood pasta was amazing and the escargots melted in your mouth. We are definitely coming back.Kudos to the chef.Just wish the wine was a little more reasonable.Having a house wine would be great.Next time there we won’t spend $42 on a bottle. That’s $ they could be making on something that people will avoid because of the inflated price.
Exceptional caesars and service. My boyfriend and I came here for the first time last week and we were both astounded at how good the food and service was. The atmosphere was casual upscale, making us comfortable to not feel out of place in our jeans but still feel like we’re in a fancy restaurant. Our server Caitlin was extremely friendly and made us the BEST CAESARS I’ve ever had! Perfect amount of spice and flavour. I got a pasta with basil cream sauce and scallops and it was truly special- the sauce, pasta and meat were all perfect. We are definitely going to make this a regular visit. Flying piggy’s Bistro is a hidden treasure.
