Great atmosphere, they have an on site wine cellar with an amazing selection. Real pasta, made in house and delicious sauces! A bit pricey but definitely worth it! Great anniversary spot or date restaurent.
One if the best meals ever! Four of us went to celebrate a birthday. Two had the bison steak special, one had a home made fettucine dish with prosciutto and I had the veal medallions with artichokes and cream. We Also had appetizers such as a mushroom arugula salad and mussels and a great beef soup. We ordered a lovely bottle of Malbec which went really well with the bison. I also enjoyed it with the veal. For dessert we shared a very generous serving of bread pudding. I know sounds pedantic but it was amazing. I have eaten some of the best in Ottawa but this was a highlight over the last two years!! 205$ for 4.
I’d heard of this restaurant for a few years but only recently dined there for the first time. In a word a sensational kitchen and very attentive service. The chef, Tara, – and it’s always about the chef – leads a youngish crew that is attentive to taste and style. The homemade pastas are excellent, not too heavy as is often the case elsewhere. The sauces are well balanced and seasoned. The veal, roasted asparagus, and vegetables were well prepared and served at just the right temperature. The deserts are all homemade (as is everything else here except the bread) we had the pecan pie and frangelico cheesecake. Look, we’re older and somewhat spoiled but we had a delightful evening – and told them so. Enyoy.
