Great food! Nice, lively atmosphere. Always busy but that’s a good sign. Love the patio they have set up. Amazing service as well! My go to place for get togethers!

We were at lansdowne and randomly decided to have dinner at Joey and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and our waitress was very knowledgeable. Everyone in our group of five enjoyed their meal. The ravioli with lobster cream & prawns was on the smaller side though. I personally really enjoyed the pan-roasted mushroom pasta (the portion was more than enough) and my bf liked his hand-pressed burger. The desserts were also delicious. The only negative is the pop. Although is was refilled often, there was so much ice that it got diluted by the time you got to the bottom of it. I’d rather have one glass with little to no ice without free refills than five glasses of diluted pop.

I have dined here twice, once in August 2016 and again on February 24, 2017. I went on Friday nights and both times the place was packed. Fortunately as a single guy I can just dine at the bar. You just have to wait for a seat to open up.Like a few others have said, you’re not coming here for the food but for the ambiance. Some of Ottawa’s finest ladies frequent this loud, brash but attractive looking restaurant/bar and they play JUMP FM style rap music in the background. Many didn’t seem to come here to eat but to drink. JOEY’S food is decent. It’s cooked to order and well presented. I enjoyed the Steak Frites on my last visit but felt they could have given me more Steak. They have good WI-FI as well. Not a place I regularly will frequent but it’s worth making a couple of trips a year. If they can do a satisfying job on busy Friday nights then that’s a good sign.

Great atmosphere and staff! Everything tastes fantastic and tons of menu options to fit any taste, and the souffl is a must try. Always fun at any time of day but make sure to make reservations, place is always busy.

The good, the bad, the ugly. The good: Service was very good, the people working there are excellent and provide great service. Great atmosphere, and setup. The bad: Don’t go for the food! I had the steak, if it was a grade A I would be surprised, I would have expected Triple AAA in a place that would want to compete with the Keg, it was one of the toughest steaks I have ever had. On top of that my steak (same order) was less than 1/2 the size of my wife’s steak. .The Ugly: For that price I won’t go back! This place doesn’t stand up. PS: It’s says above $60 for two people, really not likely.

Needs a bit of help to improve service. Made reservations but was seated at opposite end of restaurant from my dinner companion. After some frantic texting was able to reunite. Food was passable chain style, with waitstaff reminiscent of a Moxie’s or what I imagine a Hooters to be like, when vacuousness and mediocrity are left to run amuck. If your business brings you to Landsdowne, there are worse choices than Joey’s.
