Definitely a great hidden gem here in Ottawa. The location is unassuming and perhaps might even turn some people off, but I am consistently impressed with the quality of the food and the value for your money. I haven’t tried delivery, but the take-out time is generally quite quick and the gentlemen working the front counter are pleasant and polite. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for nice Chinese food with generous portions and for a fair price.
Very reliably good Chinese take-out. No frills (as it is just take-out, no sit-down areas to eat) but it’s got a lot of variety, it’s always good, and I’m always satisfied. Quick service, very well known in Ottawa South. I’m not going to stop going any time soon.
Literally made an account just to get upset about this service. The food was over an hour late…not even hot…The delivery guy did not give a care in the world about how late he was, and yelled at my girlfriend and myself over the phone regarding where we were (even though he was in the wrong place, and would not listen to our directions, while we stood outside in -40 degree weather)…not like it’s your job or anything. He then repeatedly blamed us and continued to be a jerk. This was the first time in my life that I have never tipped someone…I hope this is a one time thing for this place because otherwise I have no idea how they have even one customer. Cheers 🙂 (is there a rating less than 1?)
Best chinese takeout I’ve ever had, especially the egg rolls! We drive clear across the city (from Kanata to the east end) just to get it for special occasions like birthdays.
Great tasting food. Friendly delivery man, quick delivery time and above all really, really good Chinese food. We have been getting our Chinese food fix at Ruby Inn since it opened and the food just keeps getting better.
