We ordered take out from 168 Sushi. The person who picked up the phone was very helpful and patient as we decided what we wanted to order. We had a little bit of an issue trying to understand each other’s accents. Food was supposed to be delivered in 45 minute, but it took 1 hours and 15 minutes for it to arrive, granted we live about 20 minutes away from the restaurant.The sushi was very good. We ordered a 106 piece sushi, maki and sashimi boat that was beautifully made. All of the items were fresh and delicious. We also order ribs that were delicious too. The delivery person was very nice as well.We will be ordering from 168 Sushi again and look forward to eating at their restaurant in the future.
Love 168. Looks like a dump from the outside but the food is amazing everytime. They also have cute booths. They have updated to tablet ordering system recently. Very fast service, great food, great prices, great selection. So much better than 520.
My go-to for AYCE sushi in Brampton. Quality is usually very good. I noticed the sushi tastes more fresh when the place is moderately busy as opposed to empty. Make sure you don’t choose a table that’s too far back or else the servers might forget to take your order. I recommend ordering their sushi pizza, bulgogi and spicy California roll.
This place did what many others over the years failed to do at the same location – have a successful sushi restaurant. And they did SO well, they triggered a run of new sushi restaurants all across Brampton while at the same time expanding their business to multiple locations (making their name a little odd since the name 168 was based originally on their address on Kennedy Rd. in Brampton).The sushi is fresh and delicious. The sashimi is presented in good-sized chunks, and there’s a broad selection of sushi rolls to choose from. The hot foods are rich in flavor and served in relatively small portions, but since it’s AYCE you just order more.Recommended items include the baby mushroom beef rolls, beef in black bean sauce, salmon belly, miso soup, and seaweed salad. For desert, the milk pudding is creamy good but might on occasion be undercooked leaving the center cool rather than warm.This is our go-to sushi place!
This place is average at best. We came here for dinner. The sushi doesn’t seems particularly fresh. The rolls made with crispy had tones of crispy in them. There speed of service was good, not particularly friendly but that is pretty standard with Japanese restaurants.
Great Food, Lousy Service. Envited by a friend that could not stop raving about the place but when we got there the service was terrible. The place looks authentic enough, maybe that just the way the people are there???
An enjoyable AYCE restaurant.. I had dinner there 2 days ago. The sashimi and sushi were quite fresh. The kitchen items were tasty. The servers were quite friendly, especially Jenny. Japan Buffet has been around for seven years and does not look as trendy as some of the newer joints; however, among Brampton AYCE sushi joints, it still has the best combination of price and taste.
