We had been to this restaurant many times and we recommended this restaurant to many. We visited yesterday as well for a dinner. Very good service. Only problem is that some of the items in their menu is not available. Either they have to remove it from their menu or they have to tell the customers in advance the items that are not available. Other than that no complaints at all. They take more time to deliver to the table, the reason is they cook from the beginning, which shows that they dont give old food. High quality food with the real taste of South India.
A decent place for Kerala food, particularly for seafood and meat lovers. A small place with decent ambience and seating space with South Indian songs as bgm. When coming to food, none of the combos were available. The ‘puttu and kadala curry’, which is the most famous food in Kerala was unavailable which was disappointing.Non veg: Chiken Ularthiyathu (dry chicken fry) was a great hit and tasted amazing . Chicken chatti curry was presented well with authentic earthern bowl. Malabar chicken curry tasted great, just like the authentic Kerala one. In general, seemed to be very good according to my friends. However, in veg they messed up the order by bringing chilli Gobi as gravy when we had asked for dry. Even ‘Appam’ didn’t look like authentic Appam and looked like oothapam. We were highly disappointed as Appam is known mainly for its bowl like shape with thick center and thin and crispy edges. Veg gravy and mushroom gravy were decent.Overall, it was a mixed experience with some disappointments and refreshing from the usual parathas and butter masalas.
Loved the food here. We tried chicken kothi chathachu from the starters and prawns masala from the main course to go along with kappa and kerala paratha. Was good enough for 2 and was billed about 37CAD. Perfect ambience and good food. myweekendnotes.com
Amazing place , good ambience, delicious food, the best of Indian cuisines Modern style on traditional food brings out the best Def recommended Enjoyed the meal
Ok where do I start. Ive been to their Brampton location twice and the second time was a huge disappointment. I had taken a couple of my friends over there with the promise heavenly food and they all came out with a terrible after taste in their mouth quite literally. I made a wise decision to not go there since that truly awful experience.Several days and months passed and they opened their second location in Mississauga. A friend visited the place and came back with glowing reviews. He said the food was amazing and it was 14.99$ for lunch buffet and its truly classic Kerala food with some varieties of Desi Chinese and North Indian peppered into the mix. Ok now what am I thinking? The new location is exactly that, new and they wont be able to muck it up so quick. Well it turned out that they could. I visited the place and the food was exceptionally bad.It was far worse than bad it was basically junk served with some garnish.Coming to the actual food part. The food was literally garbage. If I wanted North Indian butter chicken and naan with some other varieties of pakoras I would have gone to proper northy restaurants not freaking le kochi. If you are going out there just for the ambience I would say its pretty decent. For the average joe, the food is unremarkable and not up to minimum standards and if you have high standards, the food is depressingly awful and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The price I paid was the only comforting factor. 14.99 for a buffet is decent anywhere in Canada so thats the only redeeming factor but then again you can do several better things with that 14.99. You can go to a McDonalds and get some god awful burger with drink and fries. One could go to Timmies and get two wraps,a coffee and a donut with some change to spare. These are things i wouldnt do for lunch but right now these options do feel like better in every sense of the word.Would I ever, ever recommend this place? Oh boy I wouldnt. If you ever had any kind of half decent Kerala food you would get a genuine scare at this god awful restaurant. I do understand their business with the Naan and Butter chicken and tandoori chicken to attract a wide variety of customer base like the average john, jack and Jill for whom Indian food is Naan,Butter chicken and white rice.standards are set from the word get go and if they cant adhere to a character and keep an identity just for the sake of business they will lose their loyal following pretty quick. Then again if the cash registers are ringing the sweet tone of cash minting then I would say they are doing it right.
