TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED. My husband and I have dined at El Dente about 6 times and each time enjoyed the food. Tonight was extremely different, the 1 server that was on appeared to come across by accident while she was serving another table. She took our drink order and after chatting with a supplier at the bar, the drinks were poured and left on the bar. The usually wonderful bread that comes first was COLD and my stuffed sole was flavourful but luke warm as we now have come to realize, so was the service-My husband said his lasagna was good but all in all we WON’T GO BACK
Excellent Atmosphere and Fresh, Delicious Food. I have been going to this restaurant for years and will continue for years to come. It has a comfortable dining room, laid back atmosphere and the servers are great. I love the fresh pizza but the best part is definitely the Caesar Salad (one of the best in town). I’m looking forward to summer nights on their patio.
It’s amazing to read some of the negative reviews, granted when busy, the service is not delivered at the Swiss chalet 15 mins in and out pace; however, the food is as good, if not better, than any other place in town. Burgers are delicious, pizza’s amazing, desserts are delectable! I will keep coming back! Thx Al Dente! Great work!
Went out for date night. Was really looking forward to a nice pasta dish. We called and made a reservation to only stand there for about 15 min upon arrival. This was awkward and uncomfortable, but they were busy so it was what it was. When we had sat, it took another 20 to even get acknowledged by our server. So we were sitting without water or drinks… The busser could have done something about it. We ordered everything and they were helpful in our choices. The appetizer was lovely, as well as the bread. When the meals came, it had felt like we were waiting forever. And then we started noticing some of the seafood was uncooked. Quite disgusting actually. Server returned it and offered a new plate each as well as free desert. Great. So we waited another 20 min. We were there for over 2 hours. We could not eat our second plate because we were pretty stuffed already , but unfortunately she misheard us when we said we would pack it up. She did give 1 slice of cheesecake though. She was good… Was obviously overwhelmed. But unhappy with the overall evening.
Horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant because of the service and poor attitude of the staff. It almost feels like you are bothering them by being there.

Terrible service and attitude. Just recently visited al dente- after many many visits- couldnt believe the terrible attitude and service from one of the older male servers- also pleasant previouly visits– food just ok– what a shame- he needs an attitude check and maybe a pink slip– we are not ever returning
