Great atmosphere. I’ve been tasked to rate some diner’s in the South Western Ontario. I stopped in Brantford at Angel’s Diner for dinner. I had the stir fry. Good portion, tasted fresh, food temperature was perfect. The restaurant room temperature was good, lighting was good and the music wasn’t too loud. The washrooms were clean, the server was clean and tidy with a smile, service was excellent.

Not good. I ordered take-out from Angel’s diner once, and I never will again. The service was slow, the food was mediocre at best, and the chicken was still pink inside. Avoid at all costs.

Not what it used to be. Took a long time for food to be prepared despite the fact that there were few patrons in the diner. When the food arrived, the fries and beans were cold.We were not offered a coffee refill.Plates were cleared away quickly and the bill was slapped on the table – we had planned on ordering dessert but apparently this isn’t an option anymore.Very disappointed in service.

Food is good – shame about the service. We have eaten at Angel’s several times. We enjoy the food – particularly the smoked meat or reuben and arguably some of the best, crispiest fries in town. We have tried a number of menu items and I can’t say I’ve ever been disappointed. It’s on the pricey side, but portions are substantial. The service, however, is very inconsistent and there seems to be an issue with the kitchen being able to get the food out quickly enough. We have waited as long as 45 minutes for lunch. The whole point of lunch is that people are usually pressed for time; most restaurants realize this. The last time we were there, we waited almost 40 minutes, then three of the meals came out and the fourth was another five minutes. The server was not apologetic even though she could see we were getting impatient. We have also come to the point of leaving on previous visits because of how long we waited to even get a drink order taken. The restaurant seems to have a large percentage of long term servers. Usually, this is a good thing – but maybe for Angel’s, not so much. They seem to have lost their edge when it comes to caring for the customer. With two new eateries opening on the same block within the past 2 months, I don’t think Angel’s can keep counting on people to keep coming back.

All show and no go!!!!. Wife and i went here for breakfast last week. The girl that greets you ,has us walk by 2 booths. And thinks she is going to seat us ,at the other end.She gets upset, when i tell her i want a booth at the front. My wife is disabled. She says i’ll have to clean it.We’ll really!!!!Don’t have to be smart to work here, just show up.Through breakfast, they walk around 4 times before they offer coffee refills. Here is one too a year ago we left a comment card. The manager never replied.Bettch he will now, knowing he has competition up the road. And put away the harper pictures…enough already!!!!!

Went for dinner here with my wife. She had a soggy Caesar salad with terrible dressing. I had spaghetti with meat balls and I got handed spaghetti that tasted like it was out of a can. When my wife was pregnant she used to live off Mac and beef cans from the grocery store, which is exactly what it tasted like. Our waitress was friendly but terrible at her job. We were sitting there 15 minutes before she realized we were finished. We even put our knack ins in our bowls so she would notice but she kept walking by. Hard enough to get a refill as is. I almost packed up and left. The only good thing out of that dinner that neither me or my wife could finish was that a stranger had payed for it. A good deed, but still doesn’t change the experience of the restaurant.

Been to various angels restaurants many times, overpriced food that is pretty mediocre, pathetic scrambled eggs, unseasoned and bland home fries, had an omelette once that wasn’t very good, if you have been to angels before and liked it by all means come to the one in Brantford, its big , the owners are nice, but I recommend trying kels diner
