1 of 4 visits, we get OK service. First off my wife and I just moved to Brantford 16 months ago from Guelph, ON, which also has a beautiful totally revamped East Sides. We WERE avid East Siders (to the point my wife was starting to get sick of it). We would walk into East Sides in Guelph, ask for bar seating, and our drinks and budda boomers would already be ordered before we were sat because they knew us as regulars :)Don’t expect the same in Brantford. You go in and expect an hour minimum for your food. Service is horrid! Some of the things we have witnessed from the employees at this location is unbelievable. We keep going back because it’s the closest location for our parmesean crave, in hopes it will get better.
Just a salad. We beat the dinner crowd, but still seem to wait for our dinner as if we came in with the dinner crowd. As we sat there and waited they tried to stuff us with bread and drinks. Finally the meal arrived a hour later and everything seemed good, except my shrimp on my salad was suppose to be cooked…so I thought. The nice waiter asked if everything was alright, so I asked her if the shrimp was suppose to be cold. She said no and asked if I wanted another order. But by then who knew how long I would have waited for that. So that lead me to believed the shrimp is precooked stored until order is up then warmed before serving it. On top of it all my salad was all lettuce and onions with maybe a couple at most of tiny tomatoes. Sorry East Side but I probably will never come back.
Horrible Service!. Let me start by saying that my Girlfriend and I used to go to East Side Mario’s at least once a week. The last time we were there we took family along with us. We placed our order which was Linguini Chicken Tetrazini and Four Cheese Ravioli. We were then told they were sold out of the Ravioli (not the first time this has happened) So my Girlfriend went with the Capiletti instead. It took 25min before our bread or salad arrived at the table we repeatedly tried to get a servers attention with no luck. No one came to check on us…not ONCE! Finally our starters and meals arrived all at once. The servers asked if we wanted our meals put under the heat lamps and we refused. Our meals were either over cooked and dry or stone cold. We asked for the manager and were told she was to busy dealing with other tables to come and see us. We have not been nor will we go back there EVER again. They have horrible service and are completely insulting! I would not ever recommend East Side Mario’s to any friends or family.
Not That Great. I have been to East Side Mario’s several times however, this last time wasn’t as great as it has been in the past. It was crammed, with kids screaming and waitresses scrambling to get everyone’s orders. The food was adequate, my cheese cappelletti tasted overcooked, and the ceasar salad didn’t have enough dressing on it. The waitress didn’t come once to check on us during our meal. The prices aren’t too bad, but the food isn’t anything to rave about. This is definitely microwave style, I could get better staying at home.
Went there one time with my boyfriend. And we were going to split the bill but here’s how our night went. Service was slow our server was rude and rolled her eyes at us. I had ordered the shrimp pasta and it came out cold and looked like it had been sitting under the hot light for way to long. I took one bite out of my shrimp and it was still frozen. I sent it back and when I finally got it back I looked at my shrimp and the one I had taken a bite of was there. I had asked for a fresh one and got my original one just heated up and with more sauce. I was not happy so I asked for the manager and she comped my meal which was great. And we have never been back
