I Like This Place!. I decided to visit this place after noticing it while driving a few times. Just to let you know, there is parking, but it is in the back, so you need to drive down a narrow corrider beside the restaurant to get to the back. There isn’t too much parking but it is available; you will need to walk to the front of the restaurant as there is no back entrance. When I first walked in, there was no one in the restaurant. There was an elderly gentleman sitting near the TV at the back of the restaurant. He seemed very gentle and kind as he greeted me when I walked in. I chose a spot to sit at and he was about to bring me a menu when he noticed I had one on the table already (it was left there by another individual). He said ‘Oh, you already have one’ and he gave me a few minutes to order. I decided on the Combination Plate for one person, I chose meal (A) 78, which included an egg roll, lemon chicken, chicken chow mein, and fried rice. The man took my order and asked if there was anything that I would like to drink; I settled on water. He came back with a pitcher of water and poured a glass for me. As I was waiting for my meal, I realized that this was a family run restaurant, I noticed the photos on the wall and the down-to-earth decor. It wasn’t fancy, but it was sufficient for a quick lunch. The food came out about ten minutes after I ordered it. The dish was nice and big, filled with all of the items that I ordered. Everything was nice and hot, and it tasted good! I was surprised at how delicious it tasted; everything was fresh with just the perfect amount of flavour. When I was finished, the elderly gentleman was no where to be found, I walked near the back of the dining area to find him so I could pay my bill. He came out and we chatted a bit about his family. The meal only came out to about $7.50 which was a great deal considering all of the food that I got. I was really happy with the kindness of the elderly gentleman and the great food. I noticed a sign saying this place won for best take-out place in 2010, definitely well-deserved! Will go back for sure!
