FOOD:We had come here on a Friday afternoon at around 12:00 pm for the All-You-Can-Eat ($17.00/Person) Lunch Buffet. We liked the iPad ordering system as it made it easier to order since we were able to see the pictures and read the descriptions before ordering. In terms of the food items that we had chosen, there were quite a number of different items. I really enjoyed the Crabmeat Cheese Wontons; I found them to be freshly-made, and were hot (temperature-wise), just the way I like them to be. I also tried the Miso Soup, Seaweed Salad, Green Dragon Roll, Avocado Pizza (which was absolutely amazing), Spicy Salmon Roll, Avocado Handroll, Shrimp Tempura, and a few other items. I found that the Rolls and Handrolls were very neat, with the ingredients staying-in tact when I had bit into them (a huge plus in my eyes).I found all of the items to be very well-prepared in terms of their presentation, and also loved how delicious they tasted. I felt as though a lot of effort was put into providing the customers with the freshest of ingredients, while making it presentable. I also ordered the Vanilla Ice Cream and Deep-Fried Banana for dessert, which was divine when paired together! Overall, a positive experience in terms of the food, really enjoyed it, and was such a great price as well.ATMOSPHERE:When we had first walked-into this restaurant, we were impressed with how clean and inviting it was. We were ushered to a table near the back of the restaurant, where we had a lot of room on the table for our items to be placed-on without feeling squished. Also, I loved the decor on the walls, and especially the ceiling, it was very unique. The music was also inviting, and it wasnt too loud or crowded, very comfortable for a lunch meal.SERVICE:We were served by a kind middle-aged woman, whom took our drink orders, and brought most of our food dishes over. We noticed that whenever we had asked for something (such as a fork or spoon), it came to us fairly quickly. Also, we had received all of the food items that we had placed orders on, which was impressive as most AYCE places tend to forget about certain dishes that are ordered once too many are ordered at once. I found the servers to be pleasant, with excellent table manners, along with a smile, while taking our finished dishes away quickly. Great service all-around!COST:3 Adult All-You-Can Eat Lunches ($17.00 x 3: $51.00) + Tax = $57.63WOULD YOU RETURN?Most definitely! I really enjoyed the food, and found that both the atmosphere and service was great for what I had paid. Would highly-recommend!
Another Japanese AYCE restaurant that I visited for lunch one week day. This one is a little above the AYCE average. The food was good and fairly well presented but the service was its downfall, not horrible just a little slow and impersonal. If I was looking for a Japanese restaurant in Brantford this one would be second on my list.
