Kings buffet-brantford. This location USED to be my favourite location.However, for the past year quality of food has become very poor-often times not enough items in salad bar to make a salad-might be ok if you just want lettuce.Amount of food available from buffet might be enough for one person,and most of the time it is dried out.Manager is very rude almost to the point of being abusive.Staff is friendly.Sent e-mail to head office to discuss the poor service and quality of food on my last visit and received no respone-haven’t been back and never will return.Lots of other Chinese restaurants who appreciate my business
Awful food and service. We took some company with us this Wednesday to the Brantford location. We had a certificate worth $200 to redeem, and we were told by the gentleman behind the counter (manager or owner?) that we had to take 4 x $50 gift cards, and if our bill was higher than $50, we could use one gift card and pay the rest in cash or debit. He also proceeded to tell us if we paid with 2 gift cards, we would lose out on the remaining balance on the gift cardI was always under the impression, when a gift card is used, you do not lose out on the remaining balance, and was wondering if this is a regular practice of the Kings buffet chain to treat regular customers in this manner reguarding gift cards. I am certainly not impressed, as neither were the other couple we were with, and if this is the manner in which the chain handles gift cards, it is a totally disgusting way to rip customers off, and is a huge turn off to want to return! This is definitely no incentive to make customers return.The food is sorely lacking in freshness, variety and taste! We went at 6pm and there is no excuse for the food looking and tasting as if it had been sitting there a long time, unless it was leftovers from lunch. There were no honey garlic wings,but were honey garlic ribs which were tough, and inedible. The roast was so fatty and tasteless, rice was dry..and the list goes on. The waitress tried rushing us, saying I’ll bring over the machine (for debit) when we were just sitting and chatting, catching up..we were like huh? I told her we didnt have dessert yet.I would think that in this day and age of social media, and an economy that is not well, the restaurant would do everything possible to keep loyal customers returning, and encouraging them to bring guests. They have definitely not done that with us, and have strongly discouraged us from wanting to return, as we have so many other options in Brantford, and another local Chinese buffet,with better food, better price and better customer service.We thought with their new renovations, it would be great, boy were we wrong!! It’s worse than ever, and embarrassing to take friends/family/staff and co workers to.Truly and utterly, dismayed with Kings Buffet Brantford. Never again. ps do not purchase gift cards, you will lose out on money!
There are too many bones in items like sweet and sour beef. Wasn’t happy. Service was good.
Great Food! Friendly Service!. I love King’s Buffet! It is like the Mandarin, but not as large. The food is delicious, everything is fresh and there is so much to choose from! The service is great, they are very accomodating, and treat every customer with respect. I loved going up and eating as many times as I wanted. King’s Buffet is definitely the way to go if you are looking for a good Chinese buffet. Will be back, guaranteed!
