The last few times I’ve been to this restaurant it’s been good. They seem to under staffed in my opinion. The bartender seems to work very hard and is usually always smiling and pleasant. I have had a bad experience here once a couple of years ago. It’s been very good lately.

Interesting menu, very rude servers. We have been looking forward to having dinner at Shoeless Joes since this new restaurant opened in Brantford, and we had the pleasure of dining there with our best friends a few nights ago. I have to admit we chose to go out for dinner on a very busy evening, the first night of March break. The restaurant was very full, several people were waiting to be seated but we were able to get a table very quickly. For being a large place to eat it seemed rather crowded at the front doors, there should be at least another set of double doors so people are able to leave the restaurant without being blocked by waiting customers. There are a lot of seating options but sitting in a booth definitely seems the best. We were seated in a very busy area by the washrooms and the bar under an enormous television. It was at such an awkward angle that it was difficult to watch, but there are dozens of televisions in the restaurant, mostly showing sports. I wouldnt go there specifically to watch a particular game; I imagine it being very busy during important games like the Superbowl or Stanley Cup Playoffs. You couldnt hear the game at all really, except in the bathrooms. The restaurant overall was loud but it was not disruptive; we could still carry out our conversations. I was not a fan of our table though; if I wanted to sit on a stool then Id have sat at the bar. Around our table was also in need of a sweep, there was food and coasters all under our table but the bathrooms were clean. I wouldnt have wanted to sit at the bar though, although it was a beautiful bar, I watched several waitresses pass food and drinks over customers heads.Understandably, it took a while before we were served. The menu itself offers quite a selection, but the drinks are not listed on the main menu. All drinks, alcoholic or otherwise are listed in a separate menu on the table. Shoeless offers a range of pub food to fine dining choices, at a variety of prices but do not expect to eat under $10. In most of their menu options, ingredients like Quinoa and Edamame are new to me and while not something we would eat, Im sure people enjoy a healthier option. Im very surprised that majority of their burgers do not have bacon, they have many options for burgers most are standard with fancy choices for buns or weird toppings like peanut butter and bananas but no bacon? We received our drinks, which were fantastic. But we finished them before we even saw our server again to order our food. Our waitress offered my girlfriend and I refills, but didnt even take a second glance at our mens empty glasses. The chicken burger was massive, and breaded more like fish in a beer batter. The ingredients were fresh and tasty on the burger and on my wrap. The ribs looked fantastic, we were jealous that we didnt get them. I dont understand why the chili fries that we all paid to upgrade to were an extra 2 dollars. That was the tiniest portion of dry fries that Ive ever seen, and most of us got ripped off by having the smallest amount of chili possible. On the mini sliders though, there was no bacon. This comes after the fact that we noticed bacon was barely on any of the burgers, but the one with bacon in the name, how do you forget that? Halfway through our meal we saw our server again and we mentioned it to her, she proceeded to bring out a plate with a couple tiny pieces of bacon ripped up on it and quickly left. I must say that the extremely low cut tops and push up bras that all of the waitresses are very awkward and disgusting when Im trying to eat. We didnt go to Hooters, we dont need to see that it doesnt make us want to eat or tip you more. Our waitress was rude and never went out of her way to make sure we were happy. When we had finished we hadnt seen our waitress in a while, another waitress came and took our plates away. We waited a long time for our bill, but when our original waitress returned she didnt even ask us if we enjoyed ourselves, she just counted her tip in front of all of us, scoffed and left without saying anything. That was one of the most rude things Ive ever seen. Overall, we had a good time. Going out for dinner with our friends made the experience much better because we had great company and were able to all talk about our experience together. The food was still great and we had some leftovers for later. Going during a less busy time and sitting at a booth wouldve heightened our experience, but the drinks were great and wed like to go again. There are more menu choices that we would like to try, but we would recommend not doing a lot of drinking while dining because it does get expensive. We still would recommend Shoeless Joes; it had a nice atmosphere and good food and wouldve been an excellent experience had our server been a bit more attentive and nice. Price Range: $13-$25 Cleanliness: 9 Atmosphere: 8.5 Menu Selection: 9 Service: 3 Food Quality: 9 Overall Experience: 7.5 What weve ordered: Oven-Baked Chicken Fajita wrap, The Closer burger, Chili Fries, Caribbean 5-Speed, Better sex on the Beach. (They ordered: double beef sliders with cheddar and bacon, BBQ Ribs)

GREAT TIME…GREAT FOOD!. Went to Shoeless Joe’s this past Sunday with the family! Service was fantastic, food was amazing! Unbeknownst to us, kids eat free Sundays so it was an added bonus! Had one of the burgers….one of the best tasting burgers I’ve ever had! Definitely going back!

Went three times, regretted it every time. The first time i went i had a burger and Buffalo fries (Fries in a house sauce). the burger was OK and the fries were good. The second time i went they REFUSED TO SELL US FOOD. They said the kitchens were closing in half an hour and told us they werent taking any more orders so we left. The third time i went and asked about the Buffalo fries but their menu had changed so i had HotHoney chicken wings an increasingly popular flavour in many bars ive noticed. The were So-So. The only thing i enjoyed was the baristas friendlyness and attractiveness. However they tended to hang around a large group of drinkers, expecting a big tip no doubt.

Great Place!. Shoeless Joe’s staff are very friendly and polite and always make you feel like a regular. The food is great, large portions and perfectly done. I would definitely recommend the Elvis Returns burger which consists of creamy smooth peanut butter, applewood smoked bacon, smoked mozzarella and banana all on top of a thick burger! Might not sound like your thing but you need to give it a try!

Overall good experience. Went to Shoeless Joes in Brantford for the first time last week….had a GREAT EXPERIENCE. We went in the afternoon on Friday, sat on the patio and enjoyed the sun. Our server was great, the food was good, nothing over the top but good none the less. They also have a great new line of drinks…….the coronita margarita is one in particular that stood out! I will definitely be coming back soon….cheers!
