I dropped in here for dinner the other day. I wasn’t expecting much from an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi restaurant in Brantford but I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, something you’re always thankful for on the first visit to any other these places, they all seem to work a little differently. The food was good, the hot offerings were served at a typical buffet but the sushi was all freshly made. I don’t see to have much luck with AYCE sushi places, but this one seems to be an exception. I will return.
Horrendous experience. Confusing menu designed to get you to order the over priced buffet and top it up with equally overpriced entrees. Food on the buffet is beyond bad. Service was atrocious. I asked about a menu item three times, was first told they didn’t have it on the menu, then when I found it on the menu was told it would be available on the buffet, but it wasn’t, so I was told it was part of the buffet menu, and that I could order it, so I did, and then I didn’t receive it. When I complained about that, I was told that I had not ordered it, and that it would cost extra to get it. I then got chewed out by the waiter for not understanding the menu. Like a Monty Python skit. INSANE. Will not be returning.
