I wish I’d learned about this restaurant sooner – the laksa is to die for, and the curry with coconut cream is so flavourful. The curry puffs are also delicious.I foresee many trips back to Singapore Restaurant, especially for the laksa!!!!
This place is a hidden gem. It’s tucked off to the side, but the owner is incredibly friendly, and the server was always incredibly attentive. I haven’t tried anything on the menu that I haven’t liked. Prices are pretty reasonable for what it is as well.I’d highly recommend it. Honestly, every time I’ve gone the place has been almost empty, so I am surprised they’re still in business, but I’m glad they are.
Feed back. Staff in this place are GREAT — like Andrew. BUT!!!I have been in this place several times in the last few months, and have asked for the hot and sour soup that is listed in the menu. Each time, they say that they cannot provide it as it not requested enough to prepare it. WHY IS IT ON THE MENU AND NOT STATED THAT IT WILL BE THERE AND AVAILBLE IF ENOUGH PEOPLE ASK FOR IT?? WOULD MACDONDALDS SAY THAT A QUARTER-POUNDER IS ONLY AVAILBLE IF PEOPLE CALL AHEAHD EACH DAY SAYING THEY WANTED THE PRODUCT? WHY WOULD ANYPLACE LIST A ENTREE AND THEN TELL THE CUCTOMER THAT IT IS LISTED BUT NOT AVAILABLE? Really enjoyed our experience. When we walked through the door, we weren’t sure what we were getting into. Although the place is clean, the decor would be charitably described as unpretentious. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and relaxed, yet efficient. The food was just right. We particularly enjoyed the chicken satays (they provided a cute little flame grill so that we could heat them to piping hot), shrimp with vegetables (lovely coconut flavour), and can’t-go-wrong banana fritters for dessert. Lovely jazz music in the background. Left with a smile on our faces. Will come again some day and bring friends.
If you want tasty food, great service and a bare bones decor, this is the place.
First time : Good spicy food. Chilli chicken andCurry shrimp was great – not the expected thai/Chinese variety. Will come back again.
