Went to this upscale family restaurant in Bronte this morning for breakfast. A nice place with friendly and efficient service. The meal was good but a little on the expensive side, but not too high considering the neighbourhood. I would return again if I am in the area.

This restaurant had its lease terminated at Hopedale Mall and moved to Highway two (Lakeshore Road) in downtown Bronte.Upon arrival I could not believe that every table was occupied. Luckily, we reserved.Nicely appointed well designed restaurant. Bright and inviting.Liver and onions. The vegetables were green and yellow beans with some carrots. Inedible, soft and mushy. They probably sit in a big pot all day just waiting to be dished out. The liver? Very thin and dry. The onions? Also dished from a big pot that had been simmering all day. Not freshly cooked. There was a bowl on the plate that contained a light brown, viscous liquid. I did not touch it at all. And a large, white, tasteless bun. $13.99.Souvlaki wrap contained little chicken and lots of cheap lettuce, tomato and onion and no or very little feta. Wrap was cold and thick. Frozen chips. $12.79.Frozen chips, frozen mixed vegetables and bulk cooking do not make for a tasty meal. Overall the meal was quite sad. Looking around I saw the same green and yellow beans on many other tables. And the plates were all filled with food – lots of it.The quality of the food was very low and the prices were very high.I can not help thinking how busy the place was considering the ghastly food.Perhaps they were just like us – giving it a try.Well, we did try it and now we know what to avoid in the future.

Overpriced and Too Much Food. It’s a typical restaurant in a mall but the prices are too high and the portions are way too big. I’m a big guy, 6’2, 220lbs and those portions are ridiculous and are probably the reason for the steep prices for a mall restaurant. Cut down the portions and the price! Problem solved.Overall nothing to write home about

A true family restaurant!. I’ve been coming here with my family since I was a baby. Literally, in the womb! The staff are like family, many of them have been there since I was a child. My favourite breakfast joint!
