2018/05/05It was Cinco de Mayo, and we naively tried to get a table at a Mexican restaurant at dinner time, but that restaurant was full. Next best thing: Search for another restaurant that has a couple of Mexican dishes on the menu, and we found State & Main. They were filling up fast, but we were able to get a table immediately. SWBMO found the Chicken Enchiladas and I went for a fusion dish: Long Beach Fish Tacos. Although they were not authentic Mexican dishes, they were an okay second choice. The enchiladas were a bit overdone, and the two tortillas were too small for the amount of stuff they packed into the tacos, making for a very messy meal. Service was polite and reasonably fast.
