My dad got salmonella poisoning from this place from their fish and chips last summer. I have never come back. I don’t know if they are too stupid to learn how to store or cook their food properly or if it was a one time screw up on their part, but it should never have happened. The service is bad, and at one point there was a bird walking around the restaurant because they left the door open. The food wasn’t very good in general. I always warn people to stay away from this place.

There has to be something better on this street. I hate to say that the food made the view null and void. The chicken wings we tried were ok, the jerky sauce was a good heat level although not fantastic. We went on a Sunday and tried their riblets special and were very disappointed. The riblets were dry and overcooked, the sauce tasted bland and almost sweet like a mildly spicy ketchup. Our server before seating us asked if we had ever been there which we replied no, so she marveled about the view and what a treat it would be and then immediately sat as in the farthest corner away from the view, even though it was later in the evening and there were plenty of seats by the Window.Next time we will keep walking and try a different restaurant.

Our New Favourite Spot!. My husband and I decided to visit the Beaver and Bulldog this past Saturday and absolutely loved it! The restaurant’s location right on the downtown waterfront made for an incredible view and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was perfect! Paying for parking was no problem as our server informed us that everyone gets the value of their parking taken off their food bill (looks like some reviewers need to read the parking signs better!). Service was fantastic and well-paced. Upon recommendation by our cute server (oh why do all the good-looking servers have to be gay!) I tried the General tao (thao?) chicken and my husband had the Mediterranean burger. My stir fry had the perfect balance of sweetness and heat to it and my husband really enjoyed the burger. I couldn’t finish all of my dish but my husband was happy to help me! For dessert my husband tried the bread pudding (which our server told us is made in-house) and said it was to die-for. I was sad that we had to head home before the dancing and music started but I can’t wait for the next time we get a babysitter and visit the Beaver and Bulldog again!Julia

Disappointed. My first time in this restaurant, and maybe my expectations were a little too high for this place. I was expecting a mid quality restaurant with and english style to it(IE: decent beer on tap). My wife and I ate there on Sept 7 2013. I had the steak and mashed potatoes, she had the chicken with Mango salsa. Her chicken was alright except for the burn marks throughout the outside of it.My steak, although cooked to my desired doneness, was cold and the potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. This coupled with the lousy selection of beer = I will not return. We thought of telling the waitress, but figured we would have to endure the conversation of them trying to convince us this was a one off and offering coupons for us to return another time. I would not waste my time.Greg

Dangerous. Staff is very unfriendly and seems like police are there all the time. If you’re looking for a friendly place I’d look elsewhere.

What a great lunch! Food and service was great, with a million dollar view. General Tao Chicken is a must have!

No public free parking, had to use pay and display next door, so $10 later after parking was astounded that they were charging a $10 cover charge to get in! I’m sorry but I’m not spending $30 before I’ve even ordered!
