My family and I went here to celebrate my Grandma’s 75th birthday and we were quite excited as we had never been to a fine dining establishment together as a family before. The menu choices includes very standard fare – nothing very creative or imaginative. Our waiter forgot several of the items our party ordered, and not only did we receive our meals at different times, but one of our meals was evidently forgotten as it was brought to the table much later than the rest. The quality of the service was average and most definitely not up to fine dining standards. I ordered the grilled chicken breastwith basil, forest mushrooms and a port sherry cream. The chicken was VERY dry, there was no basil, mushrooms, or any port sherry cream. It came with no sauce, blanched green beans and cauliflower in a cheese sauce. My mom ordered the perch and said that she’s had much better food at a diner. My cousin ordered a side of frites and the were evidentlythe store bought frozen kind. The only part I enjoyed was the cherries jubilee for 2, which I shared with my sister. The meal was extremely expensive given the quality of food and service. We could have made better food at home. I will not be dining there again.

Best Caesar salad ever!
Horrible Service. Went to the Lord Nelson on Christmas Day. Horrible service, cold vegetables with my streak. Literally the worst service I have had in a while… was NOT offered dessert or beverages, we had to ask ourselves. Prices were outrageous, Keg is just as good, if not better for half the price.
Standard Steak and Seafood. The restaurant is a standard steak and seafood establishment. The food is straight forward, nothing adventurous, but it is cooked very well. In the world of fine dining the Lord Nelson would be at the conservative end, and something like Blacktree would be at the other end of the continuum. Both are very precise and talented at cooking food, they just do it differently. The Lord Nelson is one of those places that you go to because you have a craving for something specific on the menu, like Oysters Rockefeller. You know it will always be there as the menu rarely changes. I had the special which was pickerel and scallops, both were cooked perfectly with a little hollandaise sauce on top and on the vegetables. Would I go again? Only if I have craving for something they serve.
The King of Fine Dining in Burlington!. There’s a reason why this restaurant has been around as long as it has. I have been several times through out the years. My brother and I have had a tradition to always order the escargot for our appetizers here since we were kids. Superb fine dining experience every time!
Not the greatest location, very high prices but great food
