Did the family dinner out on Saturday and everyone seemed to enjoy their dinner selection. Meals enjoyed were Hot/Honey garlic wings, fish &chips, Blackened Salmon special). Everyone at our table enjoyed their respective choices along with their bevy’s of choice to. Service was well covered off and their was a good pulse to the place. Noticed it was under new management too so I’m assuming there have been some recent changes. Would definitely go back.

Worst place. Used to be half decent up until roughly a couple years ago, but since then they have fallen off hard. The wings used to be pretty good, the fries also, but they cut far too many corners now and it’s never the same thing twice. Flaky new ownership I’m told. Last time I went (and I mean LAST time) was late Nov / early Dec of 2015, gave ’em one last chance, but they failed me once again and I won’t be back. Very inconsistent, the whole Pluckers experience just feels lowdown and dirty, but like, not in a good way.

Smoker. Used to like this place but always see the chef out the back smoking… wonder if he washes his hands.

If you’re slummin it’ll do the trick. Avoid all the seafood; not fresh and the chef doesn’t know how to cook it. Service friendly but slow. They pander to their regulars.

The plukerbites are cut in half by putting a plastic container in the bottom of the steel can they are served in. Real sneaky way of operating.

Real Crab?. My wife and I went there when it first opened in Aldershot. I had wings and she had a crab salad. The waitress had to admit that the crab wasn’t real after my wife’s first taste. They use Alaskan pollock; a mild fish that has artificial crab flavour added. The wings I ordered were baked (but not completely) with a sweet store-bought bbq sauce on them. They were all truly wings; no drumsticks at all. These were also the first wings I ever had at a restaurant that still had those not-fit-for-catfood tips still attached. I came back recently after a couple years but nothing’s changed. Some previous reviewers commented that this owner was involved in some sort of scam. Are you thinking of Lesley of Lesley’s Chaps (same location), the second owner after Murray Lloyd. She was involved in a lawsuit for using the Chaps name without paying for it.

Great Spot. I have visited both locations. Both locations were newly renovated and clean. My preference is the plains rd location. Very neat interior design that matches the wing and crab shack concept. I had the chicken and brie on a naan and the crabby club sandwich. Both were above average meals, very delicious and you certainly get more than enough food for the price. I also tasted the haddock parmesan which was also cooked to perfection and very delicious. I am also from the area and have asked a few people who know the owner of this establishment regarding the other comment about the owner being a scammer. The people i spoke with said there is no way he is a scammer and in fact is one of the nicest guys they know. I don’t know him personally, so can not give a first hand account on that, but i think to write something like that when the writer clearly says they do not know him is a very dangerous thing to do. What I do know is the food that i have had there and the service i received was top notch. FoodLover68 recommends this place.
