Went here for breakfast and it was just okay. We had a Swiss cheese omelette, a vegetarian omelette and a regular seniors special omelet. There was no real seasoning and no real flavour. The homefries were not fresh and the portions were small. Would I go here again? No.
Breakfast 31/8/2014. Will not go back. Waited 15 minutes to be served a drink for breakfast then another 35 for our meal – of which we told them to keep it. Way too long to get eggs and bacon for breakfast. Ended up going elsewhere for a great breakfast.
Not Very Good. Service was fine. We were sat right away and had drinks within a few minutes. That was the best part. Pop was very watery, ribs were tough, eggs had a funny flavour – like they were cooked in canola oil, fettuccine was dry, chicken on top was fine. Waitress was very nice and quick. Food was hot. When waitress noticed I only had 2 ribs she asked if everything was OK, I mentioned they were dry (quietly) and she apologized and took them off our bill.Thought the prices were high – $9.75 for 6 mozza sticks, $15 for the fettuccine etc. Don’t mind paying more when the food is really good, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. Won’t go back.
Not good… Russell Williams is far better for the same price. Wont be back here. Pop was water and coffee was like tea. Food was okay. Not worth the price. French toast has liquid egg used. It was really bad.
Cheapest best breakfast in town! You get an individual thermos of coffee for your table as well!
Terrible service. My mom and I decided to stop by the Skyway diner to try it out and it was not busy at all. There were two waitresses and maybe two tables with people and they took forever until they finally seated us, and we only ordered two small items which didnt involve cooking or anything and we waited as long as it would take for a 3 course meal to be done, then when we finally tracked down the waitress who wasn’t even that busy to pay, we waited longer then we should have and noticed she was just chilling at the register. We spent about an hour and a half there for a 30 minute meal. We will definitely not be going back anytime soon. If the place was busier it would have been understandable but it was pretty much empty.
Simply the Best. Honest to goodness, if you want some good ol’ down home comfort food – Skyway Diner has to be your choice of venues. The guys and gals in the kitchen there know how to whip up a tasty breakfast, a stacked club, or a super-tasty plate of liver and onions (though I appreciate not everyone thinks of liver as tasty, heheh). Service is quick – and one schtick I really dig is the little pot of coffee they bring to your table; your own little pot to refill your joe at will. I’ve received solid service from a variety of girls there, but if I had my choice – I’d aim for Kate’s or Sam’s section. These girls know what they’re doing, and they do it with a smile every time.If you’re in the West Burlington area, and looking for a quick, tasty, and reasonably-priced meal, give Skyway Diner a try!
