Sunday brunch is an experience. This brunch is the Rolls Royce of brunches. Reservation is a must. Farm to table ideology is clear in most of the dishes seen there.
Lovely place for a celebratory dinner with a view…but the wallet hurts! Staff are kind and attentive. The fried broccolini side dish was the standout for us!
Beautiful restaurant with a water view! Service time was a bit long when I went there but it could be the wedding that was taking place there; not sure if the atmosphere enhanced the food but there was defiantly delicious food there! It is a bit pricey but I’d say it’s worth it.
Amazing Sunday brunch and excellent service! It’s not cheap but neither is the food they serve and you get three free alcoholic drinks. So as long as you’re hungry and get your fill, it’s so worth the price. Must make reservations though.
I’ve always loved dining at Spencer’s, it’s been a favorite for years. When I realized we hadn’t been for months we made reservations.Early last evening after a brief wait at the bar, we were seated at a lovely table on the patio overlooking the lake.Service was very good, as always.Unfortunately, the kitchen was a disappointment! We waited more than half an hour between appetizer and entre. When it arrived, my husband’s steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, his side of mashed potatoes and gravy were just warm. I received a small very dry looking tuna steak, cooked medium. (Restaurants don’t even ask how you want it cooked because it is always served very rare.) Without any fuss the server whisked it away and assured me my meal would return quickly. After 15 minutes I started eating what was left of the mashed potatoes. I received my meal after waiting approximately 25 minutes, the server remarked that I had been very patient. I ate two bites, but of course, now I wasn’t hungry or happy! The server boxed it to go and presented our bill.
After hearing all the hype about this restaurant, I was really disappointed with almost every aspect of Spencer’s. I had made a reservation online for 8:15pm and told them this was the evening I was going to propose to my girlfriend. We arrived for our 8:15 reservation and didn’t get seated until just after 9pm. The manager knew I was going to propose as he outlined my requests from the online reservation. he did nothing, after ensuring me that our wait would be compensated. No glass of champaign, no appetizer comps, nothing. No acknowledgement at all from any of the staff after I proposed! Anyway…rant over…I could go on all day about the other things that were noted while we were there. But the above said was the biggest upset.
