I love the half price appetizers on Mondays! But the staff allow their drunk friends to parade around the patio drunk and stupid loud. I find it almost impossible to enjoy their amazing food in the atmosphere they allow. I would return… but I’d definitely scan the patio first for drunken big mouth dummies!
Bad attitudes. I am a 26 year old attractive female. I worked in the restaurant and customer service industry for years.I visit the dickens with friends on weekend evenings as we enjoy the pub atmosphere and live bands. I forgot my credit card at the bar one evening and I called and the server said it was at the bar.I enter the Dickens at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and there was maybe 5 tables and one gentleman at the bar (quiet and slow). I immediately informed the server in a pleasant manner that I was only here to pick up my credit card. She tried to brush me off and said you’ll have to wait. She proceeded to do rounds and checks and take overs for all of her tables while she ignores me. I wait for 10 minutes. I understand that you have duties and obligations to your customers but I also think of time for task completion. It will only take you 3 seconds to pass me my credit card from behind the bar but you find it more appropriate to do EVERYTHING else you could possible do before you service me.I question if I was a business man as opposed to a pretty blonde if my service experience would have been different?I continue to wait when to my excitement another bar tender emerges at the bar! I politely inform her that I just need to simply pick up my credit card. She looks at me says okay and then once again serves the only man at the bar. Not only did she ask him if he wanted his bill, she gave it to him, waited for the money, made his change and THEN went back to servicing my request.I waited for about 20 minutes so someone could pass me my card. They literally keep them above the cash register at the bar- I was staring at it the whole tme. I was very disheartened as I felt it was the case of that they just had the power in the situation and no consideration for customer service.

Great neighbourhood pub, bartenders are nice and attentive!The drink specials are great 4pm-6pm! Had the fish and chips.. It hit the spot!Super full, nice portion! You will definitely see me there again! Can’t wait for patio weather so I can sit out and people watch!
Great Little Pub!. We were walking along downtown Burlington and noticed this place. We decided to stop in as we were craving pub food. The place itself is small when you first walk in, but it is larger in the back. We decided to choose a table near the large screen which was showing a sports match. Our server was very kind and friendly; she gave us enough time to make our choices and answered all fo our questions with a smile. We decided on the nachos and the chicken wings. The nachos were delicious! They were loaded with cheese, sour cream, ground beef, and much more; they were very filling! The chicken wings were delicious. They were braised in the house sauce, and it was very delicious! The price of the items were also reasonable. I would definitely come back to this place when I am in the mood for pub food!

Came here for brunch about a year ago, it was dissapointing then, but gave it another go. Sunny day so sat outside on patio, only us and another table already finished eating. Service was incredibly slow, waitress had zero personality and knew little about the limited menu. Brings out coffee, then several mins later sugar then few mins later the milk, coffee cold by time milk arrived. Breakfast itself was good but not good enough to outweigh the useless service. I’m sick of servers that just expect 15% tip when they are terrible.
