I love Seafood and I am so glad that Diana’s now opens in Markham!Love the interior decor and it is more plushy than other restaurants in the area. I highly recommend coming here with your date if she/he is a seafood lover and you ready to impress with your wallet.I really enjoy the Seafood Paella ($30) and the Fish of the Day ($27): lightly breaded pan fried. For Appetizer: I opt for the fresh uni ($15). The lobster bisque ($8) though really disappointing. I was back to the Clam Chowder and I did not like it either.I like the varieties of oysters that are available. But seriously, Kumamoto for $5 each? I think this is way over priced especially Diana’s is a wholesaler of Oysters! Diana’s does offers oyster special on Tuesdays but only on Malpeques and Fanny Bays. And for other type, good luck!
Before they opened a new location in Markham, we like the Scarborough location very much even though it’s considered to be far from us who live in the far north. The decor is good. Service is good to my surprise. I forgot the name of the waiter. He really did a good job. He’s very attentive, answer to the point and not pushy. The food…oyster is fresh for sure. Clam chowder is good but a bit salty. The deboned sea bass still has a lot of tiny bones but it tastes good. Don’t think The vegetables has a good combination. They use big chunk of Chinese pop chok. It does not look nice. Pan seared scallops have too much olive oil. The side salad is too sour. The black cod…is just another fish fillet….It’s disappointed that the dessert menu does not have many choices.
