Poor Experience. Went to FireFly Restaurant at First markham Place today (Oct 5) for lunch. Service was poor. The waitress did not care to give us any water, after dropping off the menus. We had toddlers not No one bpthered to ask if we needed a high chair. When we ordered, when it was my turn, the waitress did not bother to walk over, as if she expected me to yell. I had to ask her to walk over! Overall the food was OK, but the drinks was inferior. I had a cold lemon tea, and it was too watery (probably too much ice). Someone else at table had milk tea and tasted bad (even the powdered milk tea that we can buy at supermarket tasted better). The quality of this restaurant has gone downhill (not sure why – it used to be good many years ago). Will not return.
Worst service ever. I went with my family in the morning. We waited minutes before they took our seat because no one was at the front. We asked a lot of questions so the server got very angry and annoyed. We only ordered one steak to try. It was very greasy and unseasoned. Later we wanted to order more , but the server just put her hand at us. Then she began helping others and eating noodles in front of the costumers. Finally a server came and we didn’t want to order anymore. We asked her why the waiter didn’t come to us and she said she was on her lunch break but we asked her 10 minutes before she began eating. Never come here ever!

Includes soup with fresh bread then garlic baked lobster & AAA steak with rice & veggies in gravy sauce follow by mango pudding 🙂 Totally love the food and it’s so worth the visit!!!27 Feb, 2011Big portion for great price, only $17!!! It comes with a soup and fresh bake bread for starters, then main dish of AA steak, chicken steak, pork chop, sausage, with fries & veggies covered in black pepper sauce! Follow with mango pudding for dessert. Yum! 🙂 only $17!!!
Thanksgiving ripoff. A friend of mine said this place had turkey. the turkey menu was deceiving. Turkey with salad. what I got a PILE of iceberg lettuce and on top 4 1×5 inch 1/2 thick slice of turkey – cold. I paid $15 for this thanksgiving meal.. or I think more. There was nothing to be thankful for at all. the soup was runny, that was an odd chowder. I should’ve kept my money that would’ve something to be thankful for.
Not A True Steakhouse. Even though their name claims they’re a steakhouse, the quality of their steak doesn’t do it justice.Unfortunately, I would have to say that their lunch meals taste better than their dinner courses. If you’re there for lunch you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. The lunch specials aren’t bad and they’re not expensive either.The service is lacking even during their tea time hours.
